I really like this story. As other reviewers have stated it's an Agatha Christie style mystery with the Doctor thrown in for good measure. I do feel that part 1 drags in places - how many shots of Adric stuffing his face or Tegan trying to dance do we really need. Luckerly things really do spped up in part 2. In fact they could have made it a 3 part story for better pacing.

As per usual Peter Davison, Sarah Sutton, Mathew Waterhouse and Janet Fielding provide a very entertaining commentry track. You can tell they do not like this story very much. It's nice to hear actors enjoying themselves rather than woodenly chatting about how great this scene or that actor was.

The extras are up to the high standard we have come ... Read More:

Box-sets seem to be becoming the in thing, so here we have two (very vaguely-connected) stories. The linking theme is that they centre around Tegan leaving the Tardis and then re-joining it again. The first story, Timeflight, is quite frankly an example of how imagination can be undone by budget restrictions. The shots of two Concordes crashing in prehistoric Britain look completely fake, which is a shame as the early scenes of this story are great and show real promise. The Master soon appears (having been in disguise for no apparent reason. Why wear a disguise when no-one can actually see you?) and we are introduced to daft-looking monsters. The second story, Arc of Infinity, is only marginally better. The Time Lords and Gallifrey are well-presented, ... Read More:

Well, after the mass protest, we finally see the release of the last series of "JB", focussing a little more on Kate's personal life and the pressures of being a woman in authority on one hand and trying to break the obstacles to advancement in a male dominated workforce. Each episode takes place along a chronological continuum and manages to stay varied. Threads include personal tragedy in PC Kelleher's family and ( the only negative) the personal relationship between Kate and DCI Perrin, in which he seems to lose his authority and is portrayed as a sort of lonesome puppydog, waiting around, always asking her out, The rest of the characters are as usual- good value. I knew something bad was to happen in the final episode but as I was only 11 when it was first aired I couldn't ... Read More:

Isn't it funny how the stories which seemed over complicated and inferior all those years ago now seem to be the most entertaining, largely because of the humour content and the fact they they were something different to the norm. Also, time has levelled all Dr.Who stories in terms of SFX, even the flashy ones seem scarcely more impressive than the cheap ones, nowadays. This story holds up better than most because the plot is highly unusual and similar to "The Langoliers", with the Concord time travelling to a fake air port which evaoporates to reveal Earth during the ice age, and because the dialog is witty and quirky and endearingly old fashioned by today's standards.
And what about the Master? A lot of people complained it made no sense for him to dress up and put on a false ... Read More:

The Fifth Doctor is the best, by a country mile, and this is a fairly solid story from his era. The fact that Gallifrey is involved always conjurs comaparison with Deadly Assassin, but apart from THAT one, most Gallifey stories are terrible! Considering the rambling tin foil epic of Invasion of Time, this is an improvement. The story also features Omega, last seen in Three Doctors. A close inspection of Three Doctors reveals that, apart from the titular trio of Doctors, the rest was pretty poor with Omega a ranting, raving loony villain in a mask.
Here, Johnny Byrne (Space:1999) contributes a story where Omega is treated in similar fashion to the space probe pilot in his screenplay for the 1999 episode "Matter of Life and Death", who also becomes anti-matter. In both cases, Byrne paints ... Read More:
