This is quite simply one of the greatest western's ever made.Brilliantly directed by Sergio Leone and with a fantastic soundtrack from Ennio Morricone,'Once Upon A Time In The West' seems to get better with each viewing. It is at times brutal, moving and comical and a tribute to the vision of Leone.Almost every scene involves something memorable. The fantastic opening sequence,Cheyenne sliding the lamp to illuminate Harmonica's face, the slaughter of the family by Frank, the list is endless.

Then there is the cast.Charles Bronson,Claudia Cardinale,Jason Robards and most memorably of all Henry Fonda. Each and every one of them excels in their respective roles and give depth to this wonderful movie. It runs at almost three hours and not ... Read More:

...this is a fine set, you get Hang 'Em High in addition to the traditional 3 film set, usually refered to as the man with no name films, although he does have names, Joe, Manco and Blondie (nickname?) if I remember correctly.

I'm only writing this review as I think the one star is unfair as loads of boxsets are repacked from other sets.

The Good:

The original release of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

The Bad:

Hollywood studios insistence on continuously selling us what is essentially the same product over and over again on the pretence that we are getting something new and of value. Or more to the point, us snapping it up like idiots.

The Ugly:

Adding 15 minutes of previously deleted scenes that add absolutely nothing to the story but instead stop it flowing like the original masterpiece did. Also, dragging in Clint Eastwood and Eli Wallach to add new voiceovers to these added scenes because the originals had deteriorated but failing to spot that 70 year old codgers' voices change over time and thus merely creating a giggle ... ONE COULD POINT TO SOME OF THE MORE OBVIOUS SYMBOLS IN HIS EARLIER FILMS LIKE THE HANDLESS CLOCKS THAT LITTER THE LANDSCAPE OF 'ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST' OR THE MUSICAL FOB-WATCH IN 'FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE' THAT WAS A CONTINUOUS REMINDER OF RAPE AND REVENGE AND WAS USED TO TIME THE FINAL SHOOT-OUT!

I watched this film with a growing sense of disbelief that Sergio Leone could make such rubbish after 'Once upon a time in the West' and his many other classics. Truly dreadful!

my name is nobody is a strange film upon first glance, spoof led at times, serious at others, funny, thrilling and zany but with the legendary henry fonda and terence hill in it and part directed by the god like sergio leone, this is something very different when you consider all the key ingredients thrown in.
however this is one of the great westerns, terence hill plays nobody, who is a manic outlaw, who answers to no one, fonda plays an aging outlaw who made his name but fancies retirement, however he is still killing as young up and coming killers fancy making a name for themselves by killing him and his legend, nobody is drawn to fonda who he regards as a hero and has dreams of fonda heading into battle against the wild bunch and killing everyone, while it sounds like a pipe dream, starts to warm to the ...
