I've heard lots of good reviews about this movie and decided to watch it. Of course, this is all a matter of opinion but this movie is seriously wierd (a characteristic I usually welcome) but it's greatest 'no-no' was lack of direction. After finishing the movie I was like 'what the hell was this'. It seriously felt like the creators of it were mocking you after having waisted over an hour of your precious time. On a more objective note, the acting and direction were very good, it's the story that brings it down like a rock to the bottom of a deep-deep river.

I was going to do an indepth review of this movie, but then decided why should I put the effort in when nobody on the movie did? The acting is the best part of the movie, they create an empathy that is the only thing keeping you for turning the TV off. The storyline, plot and development are not exploited to the full potential, the idea is there but the execution is not. Don't be fooled into thinking this is a beautiful movie that will keep you interested and leave you stunned, as it will achieve neither.

i think this is the best dvd ever. after listening to their album i was left sppechless at how awesome it was i just had to get the dvd and i wasnt dissapointed. theres hours worth of awesome stuff. from live preformances to behind the scenes and music vids. forget the swearing who cares. what are you old age pensioners? theyd be a little boring without the swearing. also i think jack & kyle are both awesome . well worth buyin even if your not a true tenacious d fan.

Having watched the Gondry and Jonze DVD's back to back, I found that the latter fell a long way short of the mark. The Gondry DVD is outstanding and had everything I was expecting, in particular his thoughts and the processes he goes into concerning his work. This I found particularly engaging as it gives you a real insight as to what makes him tick, and therefore a gives you a greater appreciation for his work. This gave me great hope for the Jonze DVD, as it's rare to find interviews with Jonze talking about his work and his influences. The Chemical Brothers have been gracing the music biz since 1993, and this is a celebration of all their videos and live appearances with 9 interviews thrown in for good measure. So is this worth getting? Lets start with the 9 videos here, all of excellent productional value. My favourite being Star Guitar, because I have found myself stairing out of train windows and seeing the pilons go past to the beat of the song I was listening to, so when this came out I thought it was geinous! Other classics include the black and while Life Is Sweet, which features The Charlitains frontman Wayne Coyne. Other ones you shouldn't miss include Setting Sun, Block Rockin' Beats and Hey Boy Hey Girl, with it's tale of a girl breaking her arm and seeing skelitons. ... Read More:

I keep finding myself putting this DVD back in over and over just to watch one of the funny and inspiring videos in this collection. Granted, several of them aren't worth the time wasted to watch to begin with (just to hear the music, which was the initial purpose of his videos IIRC), but several of them are just too good to watch once. Ones that come to mind are Ya Mama (for a GREAT laugh every time), Weapon of Choice, Demons, and Slash Dot Dash (need a wake up call?). Each are very well made and go with the music beautifully. I constantly come back to these videos more than ANY OTHER VIDEO I've ever seen. Others, like Praise You, The Joker, Gangster Trippin', and borderline "That Old Pair of Jeans" took a great song and glued an awkward, goofy music ... Read More:

When i first saw it on Amazon i was a bit sceptic but decided to buy it any way, man its good. I don't have any other music Dvds but this one is so good, if you even like daft punk a little bit buy it it's well worth a few quid, i love. The only down point is i can't use the mulitiple camera angles on my Ps2 but even with out this feature it's still super and well worth it.
