I only watched this recenty and I really loved this film.....just captures the progression and danger of surfing at the highest level. I am not a surfer and I don't think you really have to be into it to appreciate this film at all...it's shot nicely and the documentary style with interviews makes it flow nicely.

This was really interesting stuff, and I know WAY more about skateboarding now. It was cool to see how it all started, and then very quickly became mainstream, commercialised and often exploited. The original skateboarders profiled were a bunch of supremely talented people, although to be honest, it doesn't sound like you'd want to be friends with many of them. Im not a skateboarder, but if you are, you will definatily enjoy this, and probably not care about whether they were nice people or not. If you want a similar kind of sporting doc, but about talented AND (so it seems) pretty nice bunch of people, watch Riding Giants. This is a cult film tho, so if you are inclined, its worth wathcing.

Picture the scene its a million years "bh"......."bh" i hear you cry!...yep "before handrail" no kickflips no darkslides just style by the bucket load!! Although most of the story line is pinched from "Skateboard Madness" thsi is still and will always be the ultimate skate movie ever made , if you have any interest in the art form that is skateboarding you must buy or borrow this as it will never be bettered. Go get it!!!!
