For some reason this is probably my least favourite season but nevertheless it is still absolutely fantastic. There are some epic moments and episodes here that i would consider my absolute favourites but something just relegates it below the others, i don't know what it is, maybe the bad guy isn't up scratch, either way saying this is my least favourite is hardly an insult. Top stuff and Jacks rawest ever moment is in this series.

I love these movies, some of the best Horror around. BUT THESE FILMS ARE STILL CUT.. the running time given here and on the box is wrong, these times are the American edtions, if you watch the films you will see they are shorter than the time given on the box, altogether around 30 minutes in total {4/5 minutes each film}. Plus there is no three-d glasses.. Still worth getting though.

i strongly recommend this box-set for any predator fan very interesting behind the scene footage and digitally enhanced

This wasn't as bad as I expected...and I have such low expectations these days when I watch semi-creepy religious/satanic horror movies like this. I'm basically still recovering from the dross that was 'Stigmata'. The Reaping wasn't even close (thank the lord) and it did pass the time pleasantly enough. Basically we have jaded ex-missionary Hilary Swank debunking her lil heart out 'cause she's narked off with God and doesn't believe in miracles anymore. Cue one major opportunity to go to some quaint uber-religious town tucked away in Louisiana to help try and debunk away why they seem to be besieged by the ancient biblical plagues of Egypt. Predator was a great film back in 1987 and it still is now! Here we have Arnold Schwarzenegger heading the cast, who plays Dutch in charge of a squad of commandos sent on a mission to a Central American jungle to rescue airmen that have been captured by Guerillas. But there is something hidden in the jungle, which is invisible to the human eye and isn't from this earth, the creature is known as the Predator an alien which hunts rare species and human beings are the latest species that he's discovered. He has a cloaking device which enables him to blend in with the jungle and that makes it easy for him to pick off the commandos one by one till only Arnie and a female hostage are left fighting for survival. I stumbled on this movie quite "accidentally" on TV, zapping around, and I was transfixed. I had not heard of this movie before and I wonder how, it is breathtaking. Point taken from other reviewers who speak of cliches, poor characters etc, but I actually see this as a strong point. The characters seem quite rigid in some sort of stereotype, and this makes this movie quite orginal I think. Anyway, I had a great time, the action is just non stop, new things happen all the time, it is an amazing rollercoaster ride in space. The special effects are indeed incredible, everybody will have to agree on that. Anyway: a movie to have a great time, but probably not worth watching more than once.

Excellent action/thriller/chase film. Well plotted, characters that the audience cares about and tight action scenes. Fairly violent, but not to the OTT gratuitous extent of today's movies. Full marks for excellent use of the night time, urban photography and locations, and the excellent setpieces such as the sewer chase. A reasonably atmospheric and gritty feel, aided by menacing performances from the likes of gang leader Dennis Leary. Also a very good, and appropriateley tough OST (well worth purchasing in it's own right) - featuring crossover collaborations from the likes of Slayer/Ice T and Biohazard/Onyx. Recommended if you enjoyed The Warriors or the recent Death Sentence.

Very good movie, enjoyed it. There's a Stephen King feel about this movie but not exactly. Unusual happenings in a bible belt town in the US brings an expert investigator who has always had scieniic explanations to the miracles she has investigated. However this time she has tough questions to answer. Enjoyed the ending too. Actors do a great job too. Surprised that I did not hear about this movie before. Only bought it as HD DVD's were going very cheap at present. I would have given it 4.5 or 5 stars for enjoyment, but gave 4 stars as there are other movies and classics like some academy winning movies, and this is a comparative rating. Also the HD DVD picture quality is very good.
