Gervais and Merchant are simply genius' of their generation. How someone can mimmick real life is outstanding.From Tim and Dawn's attraction to each other, which is not overblown to typical, hollywood love story proportions, to Brent's un-orthodox management style, that truly makes the watcher cringe. Gareth and Tims ongoing arguements are, for me, the highlight of the series, making a superb double act. If you want a real, true to life, ground-breaking comedy, then The Office is exactly what you should purchase. If you just give the first episode a chance, and get used to the concept of The Office, i can pretty much guarentee you'll love it. If you dont, then your clearly a My Family fan.

I found the first series of Ricky Gervais's "Extras" to be mildly amusing and clever,but certainly not as funny as "The Office".I thought that the series bore certain similarities to "I'm Alan Partridge" as well ; down on his luck middle aged man seeking his big break working alongside a slightly dysfunctional but loyal female.But again the "Partidge" series was much funnier and at times hilarious. Each of the six episodes of "Extras" are set on different film sites with each one featuring different guest stars,such as Les Dennis , Ben Stiller and Patrick Stewart. Gervais plays an extra alongside his friend and fellow extra Maggie,a Scottish wannabe maneater, and it is their relationship that is the highlight of "Extras" and what helps to makes it so ... This was the most fantastic piece of television that I've seen in a long time. Hilariously funny, of course, but where I think Gervais, Merchant & co really excel is in the sense of sadness that comes through. Ashley Jensen, surely the most gifted comedienne to have emerged in recent years, is truly heart-breaking; effortlessly funny, but I was in tears watching her face the possibility that her dreams of becoming a 'proper actress' may never happen. By far the best thing that Merchant and Gervais have written - the way it bounces between comedy and tragedy is genius. A gem.

I really liked this product. I bought it and enjoyed the series very much. Was also really happy to see the large amounts of extras (actual add-ons to the series) on the PSP. They were hilarious. This is recommended

If you don't already own the Office Series One on DVD, then you might consider getting the series on UMD. The Office provides comedy which will make you laugh so loud everybody on the bus will want to know what's making you laugh so loud. There are scenes from this TV show that are timelessly funny, and you'll enjoy watching them again and again. Each episode is 30 minutes and there are six of them. However, the series has been split onto two discs, so three are on each. Also, because of the shortage of space on the discs, there are no extras, which you would get on a DVD. while the first office was watchable for every moment of the episodes as a half derogatory half real but absolutely hilarious documentary on the pathetic life in the dull meaningless professional world, the second series feels more like a series of episodes containing "sketches" which are embedded in longer boring moments that are not captivating. You watch the second series for particular classic moments such as: - Keith answering the staff questionnaire - the IT technician fixing the computer (one of the best) - Brett's dance (a little overrated) - Brett being fired while he is dressed up as a chicken - the opener - the personal chat between Dawn and Brett where he is trying to find who Dawn looks up to.
