Nowhere near as good as Carpenter's film, but worth it all the same. Efficient direction, cheeky in-jokes (Curtis' mother, Janet Leigh cameoes in a motherly role) and Curtis of course lights up the screen. This is the best of the sequels. And just think; it only took them six films to reach it...

The remake of 'Mon Pere Ce Heros' catered for a Hollywood audience and is probably the better known of the two outside the French Speaking world. I prefer the original; blame it on the Mauritian bias but objectively it's true. The original is more flowing and I recommend watching it before the remake.
This was recently issued in France on DVD under the title "Mon Père Ce Héros". When I bought it, I imagined it to be a film where Gérard Depardieu takes his daughter on holiday to Mauritius ( a film which I had seen and enjoyed several years ago ). What was my surprise when they ended up in the Bahamas, and the daughter wasn't the same actress as I had seen originally. On checking, I find that this is a remake of the original film. They should ... Read More:

If you're here viewing this film there's a pretty good chance you've already seen a Zombie film or two before so you'll know what to expect. You'll have those undead zombies stumbling around hungry for the blood, flesh and insides of the remaining humans and those humans dwindling in numbers as they try to flee the city.

What you probably haven't seen in a zombie film before is a vegetarian zombie.

Sadly, that's probably one of the only things worth noting about this film as it's otherwise all been done before, and in a better way then this film. The characters are quite bland and the story behind the outbreak is the usual experimentation gone wrong so you're left with the only attraction to the film being to guess who'll survive ... FOREVER YOUNG, in my opinion, is an excellent drama that will warm your heart and stay with you eternally. When Daniel (Mel Gibson) got thawed out in 1992, I was really shocked. This was because he met and fell in love with Claire (Jamie Lee Curtis). It was sad he had just lost his girlfriend (Isabel Glaser) in 1939, though. I also enjoyed seeing George Wendt (Harry), too. The moment I found out he was in this, I was taken aback. If you ask me, the performances were good, the direction was excellent, and the cast was perfectly chosen. Now, in conclusion, I highly recommend this excellent drama that will warm your heart and stay with you eternally to any Mel Gibson or Jamie Lee Curtis fan who hasn't seen it. You're in for a feel good time, so go to the video store, rent ... Read More:

I love zombie films as much as the next man, however this film was terrible for a number of reasons..

1: its filmed on some cheap camera

2: the "zombies" turn into wall crawling/jumpin creatures way too fast, and whats really weird is this virus makes people change into "dead" like people within seconds, its ridiculous

3: the acting was dry (no famous people here) and one black guy plays the funny annoying character, if he made one reference to tv shows he made a thousand

In saying that, it does keep u interested (for the most part)

Do not buy this on blu-ray if you think its show worthy material because its not, save your money and rent it on dvd

These movies are cool I love the first one, the second one was too funny but also good and the third movie which had nothing to do with the previous...remains the goriest and visceral, there is no humour just horror. The 4th movie brings the series back on form with its horror blend with humour and cheesey yet inventive FX. God Bless Sean Cunningham for delivering something other than Jason.
