Also the extra features tell the story of Tron from its earliest incarnations to the finished film. The film itself is not only a great story but it shows the level of computing at the time. Tron is in fact an Antivirus in a world before antivirus programs were even thought of.

Brings back great memories watching this as a kid on rainy days, and it appeals to the new generation as its timeless, fantastic for new and old! The only knock back is that no-one has had the sense to re-release on DVD, how many of us still have VCR's?

'Slipstream' is one of those films that cannot be easily categorised, despite it's sci-fi themes, which is probably why it has slipped off the radar over the years. Notable largely for being Mark Hamill's first big screen appearance since 'Return of the Jedi', there is a considerable amount more to explore and marvel at in what proves to be a highly unique and enjoyable movie. Sci-fi this may be but 'Slipstream' will not please those looking for alien warfare, flashy technology or general all-out action. I hope someone can answer my question.(missing scenes on vhs are they on dvd!) I have this on cinema club vhs tape,on the back cover,theres 2 pictures of scenes from the film that are not on this vhs version. I have seen this before and i want it on dvd. The first scene(picture)is of ben stiller talking to john cusaks characters girlfriend,befrending her. The second scene(picture) is that of john cusack with a parrot on his shoulder,and cusak has a bandana on,i remember seeing this scene ages ago on sky,i think its when hes with robert loggia(the mad captain)on the boat after saving loggia from drowning.Can and will anyone help as this sort of thing drives me bonkers!!Oh and its not a bad film at all,not his best,but if you saw it in the eighties,it might ...
