The first Rambo is really good. Its original and Sly actually does some good acting. The other two are typical sequals RubbisH. Just buy yourself the Rambo 1. Poor on Extra features aswell.

First: It is Blu-Ray and not a cheap copy of the DVD. From movie to movie it gets even better. The sound is well mixed. That means that you are not pushed from your seats when explosions occur. The balance between speach and effects is perfect. Except of the fourth part "John Rambo" you have nearly no extras. Only one interview with Sly, but this is worth a look. Of course there are no cuts. You can enjoy the complete movies. This is interesting for german costumers. They also find the uncut german-version on this. Very nice. Good quality, price is fair. Clear recommandation!

Although the next two Rambo movies get progressively sillier, this is a good movie that has a surprisingly moving finale. Apart from the bull headed attitudes of the local cops, we see a veteran who is a genuine guy. And we see him hurting. The final scenes, after tremendous destruction and skills with violence, are thought provoking and emotional. A surprisingly thoughtful movie.

ever since i saw this film back in the early nineties i have always enjoyed it (yes it was made in 1983 i saw the repeats on tv). the characters were played by good actors eg gene hackman, fred ward and patrick swayze. randal tex cobb always seems to play the same character in all his films not in a bad way as hes entertaining in this film. the action still manages to entertain especially the final sequence when they go into the prison camp. take away all the politics and treat it like a film and it is a good film. thats all it is a film and not a have a go at communism by the americans . some one thought the story would make a profit so they went ahead and made it anyone who sees more than whats in the film has some issues. so good film.
