This anime has a rather innocent start, but don't be fooled by that: the tone changes dramatically and displays the complex emotions caused by the main traumatic experience (which affect each of the main characters in a different way) very well and realistically. The soundtrack (or even the total absence of this) amplifies this atmosphere even more and both the opening and ending theme are brilliant. As a comic relief, the scenes with the restaurant waitresses are quite entertaining and provide some lightness to this otherwise serious anime. If you are into emotional anime series, then this one is an absolute must-have!
