I dont understand why it only has 8 of the movies. It should have at least gone up to jason X. Quite disappointed.

Channel 5 usually shows these type of films in the run-up to Christmas - OK to watch whilst doing the ironing but don't stay in especially! The premise is that a local councillor doesnt like Santa for some reason. For me the twist of the story was good even though it wasn't a great film. However I still wanted to know what happened at the end! The whole film takes place in June which meant that it never felt particularly Christmassy....Santa could just as easily have been the Easter bunny! I bought this as part of an 8 DVD set - please look at my reviews for the others as I watch them.

As a Stephen King fan I bought this DVD and its yet another great movie from the master of horror. But be warned. This DVD is still yet to be relased in the uk (region 2) and there is NO region 0 version. The amaricans have released a few Stephen King movies and not printed a region code on the cover, this dose not make them region 0. Buy with confidence if you own a multi region DVD Player and enjoy this great film that hasent dated even if it is now 17 years old.

After Friday The 13th Part V A New Beginning [1985], this once-proud franchise was in dire need of an even newer beginning, and writer/director Tom McLoughlin really came through, basically, as far as I'm concerned, saving the series. Not only do we get the real Jason back, he's bigger and badder than ever. We also return to Camp Crystal Lake (now renamed Forest Green in a rather transparent attempt to excise the whole Jason "legend" from the area), where we not only have camp counselors but - for the first and only time in the series - actual campers.
