This is the brilliant film about being the best pilots, silly nicknames, and cheesy one liners! ( I feel the need, the need, for speed!) Brillant 'dog fighting' action scenes, and a great soundtrack, Not to be missed!

Deja vu is a good watch spoiled a bit by it's dodgy execution. I came away feeling I'd watched two short films both with Denzel Washington in them that had been stuck together to make one feature.

The plot revolves around Washington's character Doug Carlin investigating a bombing on a ferry in New Orleans. One of the bodies that washes up is that of beautiful young woman who is missing four fingers (this is important later) but it turns out couldn't have been a victim of the ferry blast istself as forensic evidence points to her death being some two hours before. This leads Carlin to investigate the young woman's relevenace to the case.

It's at some point around here that the FBI introduces itself to Carlin and more specifically ... Read More:

the acting is solid and the action well staged but the rapid fire visuals soon grate and its 30 minets too long

TRUE ROMANCE is a very good film. It's brutal and funny and has an excellent cast - that is with one exception: Christian Slater is a total miscast in the lead role. Otherwise it's got brilliantly staged action scenes (I like it when the pimp gets it). Finally released in its UNRATED version in the UK (rather than the cut R Rated as on VHS).

I have adored this film since I was a young teenager and having just watched it again, I enjoyed it even more. The combination of Deneuve, Bowie, Sarandon and Bauhaus results in an effortlessly charismatic and other-worldly atmosphere, but just as importantly as the horror story it tells, I think this film beautifully brings the 1980s back to life.

Beautiful and odd, perfect in spite of its faults, this is a hugely enjoyable film.

Tony Scott is a very seductive director. He presses all the right visual buttons. This man virtually patented the orange-filtered Simpson-Bruckheimer sky. To some, this makes him Ridley's flashy, shallow brother. But when Scott's camera happens upon a decent story and some really fine performers, as with Crimson Tide, the effect is like having your inside leg stroked in the dark for two hours. Enemy Of The State is like that. It's a fairly well-trodden story of national insecurity that's been given a good optical seeing-to: a congressman (Jason Robards) is bumped off for refusing to back a privacy bill. His murder is caught on film by an ornithologist (Jason Lee), who is similarly 'erased', but not before planting a copy of the evidence on attorney Robert Clayton Dean (Smith). ... Read More:

More trashy Cruise footage, same rubbish different theme. This is Top Gun but with cars. Mr macho Cruise, well as macho as you can be at 4'9", again puts himself in danger with an exciting possibilty of him being injured in a film but yet again another miraculous escape. The wheelchair bit is a straight ripoff of Talledega Nights, has this man no originality? Its a boring sport to make a film about anyway, driving round and around a loop all day, typically American, this film is schmaltzy and predictable. Look at the cover, its more about his big irritaing face than the cars.

I've seen this film many times now, hence why I chose it as my first test of Hi-Def. Picture was good, but the film was fantastic! Great plot, well executed. Good acting from Will Smith and the legend that is Gene Hackman. I love a good conspiracy movie. Rent this movie. It's well worth it!

Looks like a bit of terrorist hanky panky is about to take place; we get a front row first hand view of the action. The real story starts when one of the apparent victims Claire Kuchever (Paula Patton) washes upon shore an hour too early. This intrigues an ATF Agent Doug Carlin (well acted by Denzel Washington.) During the investigation Doug starts to fall in love with the victim (yes this has happened before in "Laura" with Dana Andrews and Gene Tierney -Déjà Vu.)

The question is will life and technologies allow Doug to make a small correction to future history? Or is this a world of "what will be will be"?

This film has a lot of good explosive action and beautiful people that just can not be replaced by CGI. And don't overlook the acting ability of Val Kilmer.
