9 and 1/2 Weeks is a good movie made by a great director. Showgirls is a silly, fun movie. Wild Orchid is easily the worst movie i have ever seen. No joke. It is laugh out loud bad. As a M.Rourke and a 9 1/2 weeks fan I am astonished that Rourke and the once famous Jacqueline Bisset (Bullitt- S.McQueen) appeared in this soft porn, badly made movie. Director Zalman King's should have been arrested for crimes against Cinema-goers after the movie's release. Rourke stars as an aloof gazillionaire named Wheeler who longs for the human touch. I suspect that Sherilyn Fenn got her break with David Lynch's stunning TV series , Twin Peaks. I certainly developed a crush for her during the series and so, some 20 years, a house a wife and 2 kids later, I thought I'd see what it was about her. Well, she's a platinum blonde in this and, to be honest, her acting isnt that great. However, she has a fragile beauty and a petite figure. The storyline is paper-thin, the soundtrack is a typical mix of sexy(?) sax and B grade rock. It looks pretty good, but the story is trite and the eroticsm by today's standards is very coy.There is swearing which probably denotes its 18 rating rather than anything you might see. Its back to Twin Peaks for me!

yes, this film is poetic, erotic and suspenseful. it is largely a very sensuous film, though i thought the sex scenes were actually the least erotic parts. each time was a very well shot and effective build-up, only to be ruined by extremely uniform, unimaginative, rushed bonking that will leave female viewers feeling cheated- and which detracts from the credibility of the film's claim to chart a true erotic journey. i also got the sense (although i haven't read the book) that a lot was missed out or skimmed over; the film seemed to rush through all the various encounters and i was left feeling that the 'delta of venus' hadn't really been found, despite what the narrator claims. it was a good, enjoyable film, but i felt it could have ...
