At last! a documentary in which the real-life people are just that - people doing their job and not being 'personalities' for the camera. This show demonstrates great filming (how the ! did they do it??), great leadership and very brave men and women on the Bering Sea. It's just about the only show I make an effort to watch 'live', and at last it's come to the UK on Ch4 too! Great for watching whilst huddled up indoors with a mug of hot chocolate: makes you realise how your own job is not really that taxing after all...

i watched the series on discovery channel and loved it so when i saw it was being sold on here i just had to get it. it is one of the deadliest jobs in the world and i love watching it, its brillant. can't wait til i can buy the third series.

"Inspirational" I used to fly fish some years back and have recently reaquainted myself with the sport. Cannot say I ever caught many fish as I was basically self taught. Came across Hywel's DVD's whilst surfing, bought "the main course" and pretty soon "just desserts", they have revolutionised my techniques, casting and all other aspects. If you are a novice or an acomplished fly fisher, I feel sure you will find something to educate or improve your fishing; whether it's from tying a knot, to casting a double haul. Brilliant, tight lines.

This DVD, like the others, is like going for an hours fly fishing with one of your mates, who just happens to be really really good at fly fishing. its well presented, down to earth and informative. I baught the other DVD's in the series, Starters, main course and fly tying and they are just as good. if you want to improve as a fly fisher, these DVD's are worth every penny!!!!!! tight lines

He doesn't complicate matters by discussing beautiful scenery or different species of fish. This DVD covers casting and nothing else - and that's exactly what you need to focus on as a beginner in the sport (or art?) of fly fishing. What makes this video stand out is how clearly Michael explains and demonstrates common mistakes and how to correct them.
