Every two years a major international tournament comes along, so too comes a DVD/VHS review. Some are good, some bad. The best thing that can be said about this is that it is comprehensive: all matches are covered, including all the goals and penalty shoot-outs. On the face of it, this is as much as can be asked of an 'official' review DVD. Yet there are problems, the most prominent being that the producers have somehow used footage from an outstanding tournament to produce what is really quite a drawn-out and tedious DVD. what a game, what a day. i am one of the lucky fans who saw the game from pitch side and will never forget it. now everyone can own the memory. if there are any spurs fans who dont own this dvd then its about time they did. an absolute must buy....

I'm not old enough to remember the 1966 World Cup Final but sure I've heard about it but I never saw the match full. So I got this DVD and, although it doesn't have the entire match (40 minutes or so is missing), it does show you what a great day that day was. The entire programme is digitally remastered and it looks as if it could have been watching the programmes first ever airing, it is so clear, the picture. The extra are good though not always the best. The audio commentary is amazing as Jack Charlton amongst others explain what was happening during the match and their experiences of it. A absolute amazing final definetly the best ive ever seen, with an outstanding display from steven gerrard. A great dvd which shows the whole 120 mins plus penaltys and the road to cardiff for both teams. The only downside for me and most other reviews ive looked at is the commentary, disapointing it wasnt the bbc or sky sports. But a great dvd which even man utd fans i think might enjoy!! overall - great

If you are like in wanting to keep a record of all significant strikes in a major tournament, don't get your hopes up too high with this DVD. It captures every goal from open play, but no penalty shootouts which is disappointing. I guess that means more money for the company by making a separate DVD for highlights. Remember, sendings off are a significant part of summarizing a tournament and of course no one will remember that Italy beat France 2-0 because they had a man advantage. Not the worst international tournament video review I've ever seen (that honor goes to the Euro 2000 All the Goals).
