i understand what pixar and disney were trying to do - promote global issues in a way kids can understand however the ideas are very adult and i wouldnt recommend for kids. BUT........... this is a master piece for adults. it has humour, the love story, the real life threats and the general likability factor!! this is a special movie and the first of its kind!! a must see for adult disney fans as we can understand the impacts and the messages that are to advanced for a childrens film. in addition youll end up loving wall-e and wanting to take him home :)

Enjoyable, mindless, and very funny. Downey Jr. was surprisingly brilliant. Little plot or real substance but who cares, just fun hokum and the best film I've seen for a while. Recommended.

I remember the first Batman with Michael Keaton playing the part of Batman and Jack Nicholson playing the Joker and the hype surrounding it. At the time I thought it was a pretty good film. Then the sequels happened and various big name actors played the parts of both our hero and the villains. They films got worse each time they mad another. After a few years off Christian Bale became Batman and he plays the part to perfection. This film is even better then Batman Begins (Or Batman 5) and Heath Ledger is amazing in the part of the Joker. But I always heard about it from all my elder family members, who had the chance to see the movie in the seventies. They always admired about it and its sequel that went into theaters in 1974. i was surprised by how big the box was but when i opened it, it was like christmas and easter all came at once!, i bet some people would give their 4 limbs to get all the b5 movies, tv series and extras all at a bargin price of £67 through express and £10 VAT, moreover it arrived within a few hours of ordering it, and started playing it as soon as a arranged the dvd's into order. The quality is as i expected it from 1990's, however it said that this version is digitally remastered, but i don't see any improvement to the sound or visual which i though was a little strange however, it does not matter though. but thanks to amazon it's something i can just watch and pull up the episode without any real problem. Having bought and watched Series 1 & 2 in their entirity (and loved them), I am very disappointed with this film. There is no charm, and no feel-good factor from watching it - I was not looking for sugary, safe entertainment, but I was both disturbed and bored well before the end..sorry, a mistaken purchase.

Carter never liked to do what was expected of him, he tended to follow his own intuitions and it worked for the series making them fresh, interesting and utterly compelling, allowing them to run for so long and have such a devoted fan base. I would be delighted to purchase the Roots box set (region 2 for UK), but I am very disappointed to hear about the cover errors. - I personally would not mind - as one reader states in similar words that it is the discs that matter most. However, I would be purchasing for my parents who are very elderly and easily confused by these types of errors. - It would ruin the enjoyment of the gift for them.
