A FEEL GOOD SMASHING MOVIE. I GOT DRAGGED TO THE CINEMA BY MY MUM AND SISTERS I WASNT LOOKING TOO FORWARD TO IT AS I DIDNT THINK I WOULD LIKE IT HOWEVER AFTER THE FIRST 15MINS I WAS CLEARLY WRONG. I FELL IN LOVE WITH THIS FILM. ITS PERFECT FOR A DULL DAY WHEN ALL YOU NEED IS A BIT OF SUNSHINE!!

This is a fun family film with excellent music. What more do you want? Reviewers who bleat on about bad directing and wooden acting are totally missing the point of the film and need to lighten up a bit.

We bought this on Monday and watched it last night with our eldest daughter - who is getting into ballet. She was totally transfixed by Darcey Bussell, who just shines in this. It was such a delight to see her perform like this, as a full blown ballet is a bit hard for kids to sit through. We loved it too! Katherine Jenkins sparkles, and her voice is in fine form. For a credit crunch night in this is hard to beat for all round family entertainment, and will be lovely at Christmas for the whole family to get together to watch.

My only problem is that you cant always understand what they're saying while they're singing so i had to figure the plot out by other means. loved it though, would give it 4 1/2 if i could

One of the first things we experience on this wonderful DVD is Katherine Jenkins' sense of humour, natural warmth, and un-diva-ish personality, which shine through the whole performance. And talk about pride in being Welsh! :-) Good for her! This DVD is a treat from beginning to end. Wonderful picture quality; super sound; and then there are Katherine Jenkins, Juan Diego Flórez, Serendipity, and the National Symphony Orchestra, all giving of their best. Fantastic! For three of the Extras, just close your eyes and listen--the picture quality is truly abysmal, but that voice, that voice....

I watched about 20 minutes of this film and then decided to go to my kitchen and chaw out my eyes with a rusty fork which proved a lot more entertaining than the movie!!

An affecting and hypnotic musical from the talented French director Christophe Honoré. A lot of people compare it to "The Umbrellas of Cherbourg," but I confess that I like this one better. Perhaps because the movie is more contemporary, and more daring in some respects (e.g. in its portrayl of "ménage à trois" and homosexual loves), yet the melancholy love story is tender and timeless. I love all the songs in the movie. They are soft, dreamy, sometimes quirky, sometimes sad, with beautiful lyrics. Although the actors are not professional singers, for my ears they sang wonderfully. These 4 young men take my breath away and I am in my 70's. I fell in love with them the very first time I saw them on the Ellen show. Simon Cowell found the very best. I put their CD in my player at night and they sooth me right to sleep Are they going to come to the states again soon? Next CD please.... I have them both and the Encore. this is the latest of my JAMES LAST dvds and i didn;t think it would better the ones that i already have but i was wrong it;s absolutely brilliant. i noticed that the majority of the musicians and singers were the same as on some of my dvds that was recorded some years ago, surely this proves that they enjoy playing for this great band leader and it shows in the way that they throw themselves into the occasion.how the violinists can play so beautifully whilst dancing around is truely amazing.i sincerly hope that james can carry on for many more years yet, the music world would;ntbe the same without him.
