Not heard the VHS Video in a while but this is so much better! Sound quality not the best on a DVD but a vast improvement on VHS. More songs, about 20 mins extra and Bono hasn't yet learned his stage craft. The Edge looks very un-rockstar as does Adam with his curly hair, Larry looks like he's still in (primary) school and Bono has the most ridiculuous hairdo (even by his standards).

I could have done without Surrender & Seconds but the rest of the songs are storming, from Out of Control through to 40. This is a very loud DVD, so turn it up and destroy the neighbourhood! U2 when they were little!

Well, having enjoyed the 2004 crossroads dvd I couldn't wait to get this.
Frankly its not as good as the Texas recording although it includes Johnny Winter whom we rarely see in action.Clapton is in top form however on disc two.
My main gripe is the appaling sound quality. It crackles throughout both the dvd's and is unbearable. ( Its not my equipment- honest.) I foolishly threw it aside in disgust and now its too late to return it. beware.

Despite Angela Bassett bearing little resemblance to Tina Turner (and Fishbourne to Ike Turner for that matter) the movie works because of the outstanding performances of these two actors. So strong is Bassett's performance as Tina that this issue becomes irrelevant. Angela becomes Tina.

Based on the book "I, Tina", the film focusses on Tina's life story up to her amazing comeback in 1984. However, I've always wondered how much of the film is factual considering it was only based on the book.

There are several scenes which are violent and give us some understanding on how horrible life became for Tina while married to Ike. I admire her commitment to stay with the Turner Revue, and being a mother to four children (of which two were not hers). ... Read More:

The Beatles were THE group of my era and, in my opinion, have never been equalled. This DVD is a real insight into their casual humour and is a real must for anybody who remembers those great days when the Beatles gave Brits of all ages a powerful 'Feel Good Factor', something that is now almost totally lost in these days of control and being ripped of by all and sundry.

There's never been a better time to get re-aquainted with Michael's music. This is great! 10 videos that are timeless! The sound and picture quality (except the picture on the way you make me feel) is incredible. The sound is 5.1 dolby sorround, it's crystal clear and you can hear a pin drop. Whether you watch it on a sorround sound system or a normal TV it's superb quality.

THE VIDEOS

1 Billie Jean
2 The way you make me feel Uncut rare version. The picture quality is grainy - like an old VHS. Not sure why this is as the rest of the videos are great quality.
3 Black or white - uncut version including panther scene. This includes the racist writing on cars and buildings that Michael smashes up. In the TV version the writing was ... Read More:

"Help!" is not actually the worst film ever made. There are several candidates for that: I would nominate "Easy Rider", "Funny Games" (both the original and the remake), "Ocean's Eleven" (again, both the original and the remake), "Star Trek V" (the one Shatner directed), anything by Lina Wertmuller, practically everything by Guy Ritchie...

But it's not very good. The original idea might have been better. Originally, Ringo was supposed to find out that he was terminally ill, whereupon he would hire a contract killer to off him before he died of natural causes, but then he would find out that he wasn't terminally ill after all, and the rest of the film would have been about his efforts to call off his own assassination...with, presumably, hilarious consequences. ... Sound quality is terrible, all right if your sound is just from the TV, Do not bother if you are expecting good sound through your surround sound system.

The world's first satellite-transmitted musical event, which was also in aid of the fight against cancer, gets a remarkable assembly makeover in this special deluxe compilation of material.

Elvis looks fabulous from the moment he first sets foot out of the helicopter on the beach on January 9th to his final bow on stage of the worldwide telecast concert in the early hours of January 14th. There are also some wonderful goodies on view in between, such as the complete rehearsal show that took place on the evening of January 12th and the specially recorded numbers for the US TV version of the show.

This is such a wonderfully historic occasion and you can bask in the glory of the fantastically remastered sound and picture. Elvis is in fine form as he manages to settle into ... Read More:
