Although I tend to agree with previous reviewers over the production of this video/DVD of this seminal concert I still cannot give it less than 5 stars.I was there,18 years old and completely knocked out by the greatest rock band I have ever seen.Cream simply 'were'.The fact that the camera tends to focus on Bruce's mouth and the back of Clapton's head is pertinent but irrelevant.....you still hear Clapton's amazing guitar work.Baker's drumming is also majestic.
I too wish that this had been a straightforward filming of the concert but, alas, not to be.
Nevertheless...........what a great gig it was!!
That still shows through.

DVD : Jimi Hendrix - At Woodstock [1969]
You could play this DVD continually, the guitar sould is so compelling to the ears. It's funny how such a guitar genius utters such mumbling drivell in between songs. He must know this since Jimi keeps schtum as much as possible between tracks. The bluesy soul feeling runs through the whole raw live jam. Awesome DVD.

3.Bush - 1994-1999 starring: Bush

This DVD turned me from a music fan who knew about Bush into a now devoted Bush fan and that is exactly who this DVD is for. If you're like many in Britain who have little knowledge of Bush other than the lead singer is married to Gwen Stefani this will provide you with a good insight to the band and understand what they're about.

The DVD features most of the Bush videos but misses a few such as Mouth, Personal Holloway and Cold Contagious. All of these are in decent picture quality with good sound but nothing to write home about. The headlining Woodstock'99 performance is the main event of the product and Bush pull off a performance of a lifetime. A slight note about the performance though, this is NOT the full concert as it says on the box, ... Read More:

4.The Go-Gos - Live From Central Park [2001] by: The Go-Go's

DVD : The Go-Gos - Live From Central Park [2001]
I thought "God Bless the Go-Go's" was one of the best albums of 2001 and a really great rock 'n' roll album. I thought that Belinda Carlisle had never sounded better, mainly because of the wonderful harmonies provided by Jane Wiedlin. I thought Charlotte Caffey was continuing to build on the song writing talent she displayed in "Talk Show." Paul Q. Kolderie and Sean Slade were the main producers and mixers on the album and apparently deserve a lot of credit because the Go-Go's never sounded better. The main reason this concert video of the "Go-Go's Live in Central park" is so disappointing is that the sound mix is awful, deplorable, utterly disappointing, and really, really bad. Slightly better than the rehearsal tapes from the early days that popped up ... Read More:

5.Fairport Convention - Cropredy Festival 2001 [2002] starring: Fairport Convention

DVD : Fairport Convention - Cropredy Festival 2001 [2002]
If you have never been to Cropredy (Fairport's annual shindig-come-kneesup-come-mudbath) then shame on you. But if you have aspirations to be there next year, in the howling rain (sorry, I'm hamming this up abit) then this is for you. Great music spanning the three ice ages Fairport have been around, funny and honest interviews and a suprise cameo role of that bloke who's in the Royal Family and used to play Eddie Yates in Coronation Street. Geoffrey something. Anyway, this dvd is a real treat and for all you Cropredy regulars, who have not yet bought this...shame on you too! This will see you through the cold winter months until next years cold summer months. It does all come round again, you know.
P.S. this one is better than the other dvd available, as ... Read More:
