This is an excellent product. I got this when my little girl was a few months old, but unlike some of the other reviewers' children, my girl wasn't glued to the set. Don't get me wrong, she was interested but not fascinated. At 17 months now in September '07 I have started to put it back on for her and she is now transfixed by it. I was amazed by how quickly she was picking up on things, shouting "Choo" when the train comes on (as it often does) and how excited she gets when the furry animals come on. I have just ordered the box set as I wanted the baby shakespeare for her and the box set was a bargain compared to getting them all individually. We got the whole set of BE dvds as a present and to be quite honest until about 14 months this was the only one my daughter was interested in, some are definitely better than others. If you are only going to get one I recommend this one as it is very entertaining for animal loving kids and now at 2 my little girl still cracks up at the dog who balances a biscuit on his nose and eats it!

I love this exercise regime, it is sooooo good for loosening tight muscles and has really helped to ease my sore back after all that lifting and carrying of baby (now 12 weeks old). However, I was pretty fit beforehand and was halfway through a 10 week course of Pilates when I got pregnant, so I didn't find this DVD particularly challenging and was slightly disappointed when I found I could do the whole thing including the 4 - 6 month workout with ease almost straight after the birth. I have since bought some more difficult workout DVDs but still revisit Lindsey Jackson two or three times a week to help ease my tightened muscles and go through the relaxation exercises, which are brilliant. This is the second Baby Einstein DVD I've purchased and my 7 month old daughter loves it. It has fantastic music and is high energy in some parts and very calm in others. Each colour is introduced where several images highlighting the colour are shown with music and sound effects. The little puppets are really entertaining. Vincent van Goat 'paints' pictures at the end of every colour sequence. To an adult, it might not look like it's well produced but my daughter finds this DVD really entertaining.

A great selection of animals with a good variation between the real thing and animation-my grandaughter loves it

Baby Beethoven takes the original concept devloped in Baby Mozart to a new high. OK, one might argue that the concept involves marketing of different brands and types of toys, but that should not detract from the concept that young ones tend to love these DVDs. The "subtitles" indicating the different symphonies are very helpful, with the dog/duck chase in the Eroica Symphony particularly appealing to our young son. There is perhaps nothing to beat "Wellington's Victory" with the puppetry being excellent. What a great finale with the 9th, and the young children "playing at" playing their respective toy instruments. As is usual with Baby Einstein DVDs, one sometimes thinks that perhaps they are overpriced for the 25 minutes of "main ... Read More:

This DVD should be given to any parents as they leave the hospital. You have to be diligent and follow all the 5s (just swaddling won't do it). But the rewards are a happy baby and restful parents. I could not reccomend it more.

I found this DVD very disheartening. The overall impression it gave me was that breastfeeding was a hard and painful thing to do,and so it was all right if I failed, or only partially breastfed. Luckily,I found lots of posative support and this did not turn out to be the case. I would recommend Rebecca Glovers "Follow me mum" as being more helpful and encouraging. If you have been going to a regular class, and have a basic level of ability and fitness this DVD will see you throughout your pregnancy. I used it minimum once a week and i am sure it helped keep back pain at bay. The DVd is broken down into three phases, quite often I would say to myself, I'll just do the first section and find myself enjoying it so much I'd finish the entire work out.

I brought this dvd for my one year old daughter who did not give it a second glance, but i paid good money for it so we perservered!Now she is two and it has become a firm favorite, she loves all the differrent images shown, showing all the different shapes and comparing them to things we have around the house ie oranges are circles and she loves to tell me this. I think this is a good dvd to sit down with your kids and get some interaction with them, i will certainly be buying baby einstein again!
