British comedy, or comedy in general, doesn't get much better "dan dis". It's black, mean, edgy and full of wonderfully embarrassing social situations and tons of catch phrases you'll find yourself using (and I'm not even English-speaker per se!).

The predecessor of this series, the chat show parody Knowing Me, Knowing You With A.P., was also fine (the Christmas special Knowing Me, Knowing Yule in particular), but I think this is a huge improvement from that. This is largely because it's not restricted to that chat show format. In my opinion, this is also of higher quality than the slightly uneven and more "sit-commy" 2nd series.

And what can you say about the main character, Alan Partridge (played brilliantly by Steve ... Read More:

The answer is....YES! I think this series is actually better than the first one, which is high praise indeed. The dialogue is more hilarious than ever, there are some great supporting characters and Coogan has reached genius level with his portrayal of Partridge. In my humble opinion, episode 3 ("Bravealan")is the best 30 minutes of tv comedy anywhere EVER. There are a couple of scenes that don't quite come off, notably a muddled scene in episode 6 where Alan guests on a christian radio show. But it's churlish to criticise because overall it's a masterpiece.

Let me just say right now that I agree with a viewer from Somerset... brilliant. I would have rated it 6 stars, but Amazon will only allow 5.
Perfect comedy, perfect timing. You will not regret buying 'Knowing Me, Knowing You With Alan Partridge' or 'KMKYWAP' for short, or simply, 'The Alan Partridge Show'.

Well worth the asking price.

I'm a massive fan of everyone on this DVD and as such, I've seen it all before. This does not contain anything new from any of the acts. Gervais just rehashes his Politics DVD for example.

If you want to experiance Partridge properly, check out his Knowing Me, Knowing You show or for the ultimate Partrige experiance; I'm Alan Partridge.

I watched this show religiously when it was on TV - every episode is a gem. The casting is superb. Coogan has developed Alan's character into one of the funniest, tragic figures in TV comedy.

wonderfully funny sitcom, even if you do not like 'Knowing me Knowing you' (as I don't) i defy you not to laugh histericaly at this program. An understated performance from Coogan allows the truly annoying and pathetic Partridge to really shine through. The support cast is excellent and the writing spot on. You will soon find yourself quoating this program on a regular basis
