All I can say is - brilliant! Great script and acting. Not subtle humour and mainly of sexual nature but it is witty and the exaggeration of various male vs female psychological nuances makes it hilarious... and true! I would say it's an equally great viewing for both men and women. My personal favourite is "lost in translation" affair between Jeff and a stunning foreigner.

Ending a series with a cliff hanger and then not making another should be a criminal offence. Having said that I don't feel that the show merits another entire new series with series four failing to meet expectations. Perhaps one more "where are they now" show might be in order. The major difference between the first three series and this one is the absence of Richard Coyle as Jeff. This is a shame because he helped to shape the group in a way that the replacement character, Oliver (Richard Mylan) does not. Series 4 sees the relationship between Sally and Patrick develop and Steve struggles to grow up now that Susan is pregnant. The laughs are a little more spread out in this series but they are there. Take it from someone who used to, kinda, enjoy Friends every now and then: all those who dare to compare Friends and Coupling have no idea what they're talking about! You simply can't compare a lame, pathetic, plain vanilla excuse of a sitcom to a brilliant, racey, inventive, side-splitting rollercoaster of fun. What's funny is that I'm not even British or native English speaker for that matter, so some of the jokes have regretably gotten wasted on me! However, I haven't laughed that hard since Seinfeld (nor I thought I ever would). Needless to say I'm completely addicted, and since my da*n cable provider doesn't carry BBC America, I guess, I'll have to wait until season 4 comes out on DVD. I love Coupling. It's so incredibly funny and clever. But the 'extras' on this DVD are just appalling. Probably the worst I've ever seen. It would have been better just to leave them out.

Absolutely the funniest comedy, I have ever seen the writing is exceptional and the characters are perfect,I could not picture any other cast, and as far as the comparison to Friends well it there not even close and the new American series could never be the same not after seeing the original. This show is completely under rated then again is it? Maybe trying to copy this series,just shows how funny and terrific it is!!

I'd seen the whole of season 1 on tv and bits of season 2 before I bought the DVDs but I hadn't seen the third season at all. After a fantastic 1st season the 2nd was a little disappointing because it was not as consistent funny; becoming a bit run of the mill in parts. I was a little worried that things might be going the wrong way but that fear was completely unfounded because the third season was really funny throughout. I think that it's on par with, if not better than, season 1! The writing is as good and episodes are consistently hilarious with some very smart tricks like the split screen in the first episode, with two bits of action taking place simultaneously, that make it stand even better. Highly recommended!

This series is just FAB,the british humour at its best.The only comparison that one might make with friends is the fact that it is about 6 friends;steve,Jeff,patrick,Sally,Susan and Jane.The only down side I could find was that we dont see Jeff in the forth series. He is replaced by another guy who is just not as funny!
