Fawlty Towers is (of course) as good as comedy gets and this package is a bargain. However completists may want to be patient. Rumour has it that John Cleese is preparing commentaries for all 12 episodes in preparation for an extra special re-release. I believe he needs the money to pay for his divorce!

I have just played my THIRD copy of Fawlty Towers Series One. and like the others I cannot play the last three episodes

This is scandalous and I am amazed that the BBC and the Hut and Blah - my suppliers - have not taken action

Disgruntled Fawlty Fan - it wouldn't be so bad if the progs were rubbish - but they are GEMS

Regards to all sufferers

I saw Fawlty Towers for the first time by coincidence as a late TV show. That was the first time TV made me laughed to cry. I was still a student at that time and that was my evening pleasure after all day's study. Although I am not a fan of Monty Pyton and serial is now about 25 years old, I still find Fawlty Towers as the best comic serial ever. It is not slimy as some American serials and on the other hand it is not too black. John Cleese is very persuasive with his growing lies and pretending. I can't decide which episode were my favourite, but "The Psychiatrist" with checking the wall and "Waldorf Salad" with chef's letter, are certainly in the very top class. I have waited for DVD edition of Fawlty Towers and here it is. The media must ... Read More:

I recently bought this UMD and as I had them recorded on video I was amazed at how good the quality was. The episodes are extreemly funny and the only bad point is that they are on two disks but that can not be helped. So if you have a PSP and you like good comedy BUY THIS UMD.

DVD : Fawlty Towers - The Psychiatrist + The Builders + The Wedding Party [1975]
The immortal Basil Fawlty, based on a genuine West-Country hotelier. That real proprietor deserves warm thanks from millions, for he inspired the most unremittingly funny TV comedy series ever shown. 1.THE BUILDERS
Not for the first time, Basil's tight-fistedness finds him out. There is building work required in the hotel lobby and, when Sybil's back is turned, Basil immediately goes for the lowest quote for the job. But soon discovers why O'Reilly and his men come so cheap...
