------more feeble pseudo-comedy from this painfully unfunny, criminally boring 'comedy' canon. Here, the usual unsatisfactory mix of rambling, unconnected sketches hosted by the useless, non-amusing, AVID MERRION reach a new low, with low-budget production values and particularly dire 'scriptwriting'.

Fair enough if some people actually enjoy this stuff, [we can't ALL like the same stuff], but I feel that this material does nothing whatsoever to advance the field of comedy, and there is absolutely nothing clever or impressive to admire within this appalling garbage. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Series 2 of Bo Selecta saw the programme hits its comedy stride. There are a couple of dud sketches (most of which involve that fool Federico from BB) but 95% of the series is gold. From Xtina as a mobile home dwelling prossie to the constantly aroused Bear, everything here makes me smile and often laugh like an idiot, a rare enough occurence with modern comedies (post Fools and Horses).

The one complaint I would have is that the laugh track is obtrusive to the point of annoyance but you can turn it off on the main menu (an option I'd like to see on all comedy DVDs, I don't need an audience to tell me when to laugh). So, I don't have any complaints, then

EVERYTHING about this 'effort' is below-par, backwards-looking, shoddily-executed, amateur and cringe-making. I felt more embarassment than disgust in viewing this mal-nourished fodder, which gives every indication of being quickly knocked together [with people with absolutely NO command of editing, comic expression, charisma or basic script-writing skills] and designed to appeal to the lowest, most crassly-outlooking, narrow-minded target audience.

This 'work' is haphazardly assembled by dubious 'talents' who use every 'below-the-belt' tactic in the book in order to gain attention....PLEASE ignore these ignoble non-entertainers and this pontless, boring release.

the 'talents' lurking and skulking behind this snide, obnoxious 'work' are exploitative charlatans who milk the most vulnerable, braindead, unthinking elements in society today: i.e.fans of this rancid, unsavoury feces....

I have already been criticized for daring to speak out against this, er, 'show', but I feel it represents a particular low-point in the field of non-entertainment, I cannot see a single point of merit within this uninspired dross, on any level [even taking into account the undemanding requirements of the low-grade viewers it is aimed at].

'don't watch it'I am repeatedly told, and this is sound advice I wholeheartedly accept.

'BO SELECTA' fans appear to be, in the main, geeky, nerdy types who repeat the banal catchphrases from the show ad-nauseum, without adding anything original of their own.

If you don't believe me, please consult the viewer's comments on this subject on 'youtube'; the level of 'debate' is as inane and banal as that found anywhere.......there really is something wrong with human society, as this appalling, cripple-minded and stodgy release testifies.

---the only REAL humour is comes from watching rank amateur MERRION [who 'helms' this sorry mess] blunder his way through the ill-thought-out, scattershot sketches, which betray the team responsible for this series' utter lack of technique, or basic understanding of how COMEDY ... Read More:

---this obnoxious, talent-free , meandering set of undiluted visual and verbal garbage is---in all probability-----the most cretinous, sterile-minded, unimaginitive trash that has ever been released upon the small screen.

Not so much offensive as boring and monotonous, people who regard this as a work of genius [check out youtube: this show definately has a cult fanbase] surely have never been exposed to true comedy that is based on observation, comic-timing, taut scriptwriting or effective characterization...the hallmarks of classic comedy.

ALL we are offered here is a relentless barrage of unimaginitive, low-level smut that contains absolutely no wit, comic sensibility or grain of talent of any kind. ---This is truly the 'work' of ... Read More:
