"The Fast Show" is great. This box set is 'brilliant'! But it is not "Ultimate" inasmuch the live shows are missing. You have to buy the "Fast Show Live and Farewell Tour Live double pack" seperately to get "The Fast Show" complete. Or will there be a "The Fast Show : Complete Collection (8 Disc BBC Box Set)" some day?

Well, I watched this on telly and wanted to buy this for my collection. I have been a customer of Amazon for 7 years and I had never made any complaint and I have never returned any goods. I have also shopped online from several other companies. The delivery company Citylink is simply a disgrace for such a reputable company like Amazon to use. I was home for the past one week and stayed in the lounge all day to wait for the products. However, I tracked these items online and found out Citylink claims that they had attempted to deliver these items and 'carded'. Funny enough, no one rang the doorbell and no postcards were left. ...why are the BBC short-changing us by only giving us a compilation of the final series rather than the whole thing? There's certainly more than enough room on the disc for the three episodes in their entirety. Are they just planning to flog us the complete edition when they've exhausted the previous series on disc a la George Lucas and his regular 'enhanced' reissues of the 'Star Wars' videos? There's some really good stuff here, but I'd recommend waiting till they do it properly: buy half-hearted discs like this and you'll only encourage them to give you short measures in the future.

If you have watched the series, then you must get this DVD. Almost all the characters you know and love are here, live on stage and in top form. The actors play their parts perfectly, the sketches are not to long, and are perfectly written. With an archive of several series to pull material from, the writers have picked some absolute gems for the stage show. The extra's on the DVD are not worth mentioning, but to be honest it doesn't really matter. Highly reccomended.

If you loved the TV show, then get this DVD as its even better. The impact that the audience have on sketches that are played out by the same well loved and entertaining characters is incerdible. A whole new dimension is added, making the audiences reaction to events sometimes as funny as what is happening on the stage itself. Definately a required addition to anyones collection of comedy DVD's
