I would give this 4 1/2 stars if i could.

I agree it is not as good as the others, because (as has been mentioned) most of the characters are not as strong as previous seasons.

This storyline also contains the most implausable, ridiculous plotline of all the seasons. 24 has always had plotlines which borderline on unbelievable but we let them off because the show is that good. I think we should also let them off here too because the season is great, however there is just too much "oh come off it!!" about this one storyline that you never really forget how silly this is.

So we have weaker characters (still strong nevertheless) and an unbelievable plot aspect but apart from that we have a classic 24 with ... Read More:

This is my favourite tv program ever and i wouldn't argue with someone who said this was the best season either.

Utterly brilliant, the concept of the show is genius and this series has in my opinion the greatest twist in the history of motion picture.

2pm and 11pm are my favourite hours.

This is a different kind of season to the first with some absolutely brilliant moments.

If you can overlook the fact (something you always have to with 24) that all big events happen on the hour then you will love the way each episode leaves you begging to watch more. Classic episodes all the way through.

Again there are twists and turns in this series too, if season 1 didn't make you trust noone then this one surely will.

This is the most explosive first episode of any series, totally shocking start and you are gripped after the first 5 minutes.

Jack is really at odds with the government in this one and once again he goes through absolute hell. The end is also just as shocking as the start.

To be honest i expected the series to slide a bit after the monumental quality of the first 4 but it didn't, this season is spectacular.

For some reason this is probably my least favourite season but nevertheless it is still absolutely fantastic. There are some epic moments and episodes here that i would consider my absolute favourites but something just relegates it below the others, i don't know what it is, maybe the bad guy isn't up scratch, either way saying this is my least favourite is hardly an insult.

Top stuff and Jacks rawest ever moment is in this series.

24 came back and this time we have a bigger threat, a bigger bad guy and even bigger episodes.

I love this season, i always get extra excited when i put the first disc in. The writers always think of fantastic new moments to put in their series and this has loads.

As usual you need to overlook the fact that all the big events happen in the hour and that everywhere is within 10 minutes of everywhere but look past that and you will have an amazing time.

If you thought that 3 was not as good as the first two then rest assured that this definately is.

Another parade of the predictable, formulaic and socially paranoid from the treadmill of American TV execs. Any viewer with live brain cells can discern where this plot is going within the first seven 'real-time' minutes (which thoughtfully include four five minute intervals for Corporate America to sell stuff). None of the characters has any credible depth, nor do they develop any in the first four episodes, the dialogue: thud, and the wash of typically contrived violence contributes nothing other than cheap sensationalism, complete with terrorised pretty girls. Other than that, a tolerable waste of a Tuesday evening.

Out of the first four seasons of '24', I think the first two are slightly superior to seasons 3 and 4, making THIS the boxset definitely worth owning.

Do it, dammit!
