I have only watched the first DVD disk of Chobits which contains the first four episodes of Chobits. I wont be renting the rest of the series. Chobits is a fairly decent anime with a single joke in it. The main character Hideki is scared that other characters will think that he is a pervert because he spends much of the first four episodes with his naked android Chi. nb. in Chobits androids are called "Persocoms". None of the other characters are bothered by this and the comedy is all about Hideki's embarrassment. It this sounds funny to you then buy this immediately, otherwise don't bother. The animation and voice acting is good throughout.

Lovely idea, good drawing, good characters - lots of humour, even though lots of it is the "I can't believe it's a Persocom (it feels like a girl to me)" sort. Speaks volumes about adolescent life in Japan ... but also about the adoption of tecnology into our daily (love) lives. Basically I'm going to buy the next disc (and the next I expect) cos it's just loads of fun to watch.
