DVD : Sailor Moon - Vol. 7 - Episodes 37 To 42 [1994]
It's the end of the first series of Sailor Moon, and the dub has been heavily sugar-coated so the little kiddies out there don't get upset.
The final episode - "Day of Destiny", was actually two episodes in the original Japanese version, in which all 4 of Sailor Moon's comrades are killed off, one-by-one. In this dubbed version, we're made to believe that they've just gone off somewhere and we'll catch up with them later.
But of course, they couldn't have such violence in a cartoon for little girls, even though in Japan it was watched by children as young as 6.
I give it 2 stars because I much prefer the subtitled, original version of Sailor Moon, but this DVD will be quite suitable for any Moonie 12 and under.

My friend brought this on video from the US which was how we were able to watch it (though I would like it on DVD, hint hint) It takes place after the Rini saga. Darien is kidnapped and the scouts have to go after him, unlike the sugar coated english TV series, the movie is dramatic and touching and beatiful.
If you are a fan, this is the best of the three. Well the first always is the best isn't it?
Though you will have to get a multi regional DVD player if you want to play it.

This is another Sailor Moon DVD which has been hugely edited!

It is enjoyable but you think that they edited this for a three year old!

First of all, the voice that originally done Rei/Raye/Mars has been replaced by a really annoying voice. Chibi Usa/Rini voice is really starting to get on my nerves and the voices that they use for Emerald's agents are so lame. And the excelent voice for Darien/Momaro has been replaced by the one that did Alan/Ali at during the Doom Tree saga.

It is also the english names, the japanese ones are far better. Serena - Usagi, Amy - Ami, Raye - Rei, Lita - Makoto, Mina - Minako, Rini - Chibi Usagi, Darien - Momaro.

The first episode, I can understand some of the cutting in ... Read More:

From what I have seen so far in the Sailor Moon DVDs, this one is the best by far!

Volume 10 starts off with a full collection of the first few episodes of the Negamoon Saga. At first, Serena is really confused with this strange girl called Rini who fell from the sky and demanding the Imperial Silver Crystal from her. But then these woman start to chase after her wanting her and the crystal.

This DVD is great because it also introduces the Sailor Scouts (bar Moon) with their new transformation sticks and new attacks. More secrets to be revealed and the only way for you to find out is to buy the DVD!

Sailor Moon is the only anime that I have ever watched or ever will watch religiously. Don't listen to the people who say the Japanese version is better - I'll take the dub over the original any day!

It wasn't as complicated as the 1st series, and it wasn't as boring as R... it was about the mysteries of a chalice of purity...and about the mysterious Senshi of Ruin, Sailor Saturn.
