Damn you Amazon for not allowing 10 stars! Along with "the Wire" the best television series of this or for that matter any other decade. The scripts are sharp enough to cut diamonds. The characters are the most memorable to hit the screens in years. And with Martin Sheen, Richard Schiff, Alison Janney, Rob Lowe, Alan Alda et al you have the strongest actors on the box. There are also occasions when Aaron Sorkin's scripts are transcendent. Let's hope that Barrack Obama pulls him to write some of the forthcoming inauguration speech (ok it should be great in any case). It would be up there with Kennedy's or Roosevelt. The West Wing, The Wire, The Soprano's, Six Feet Under etc are all evidence that while the American century may be over they still ... Read More:

after the 1st 2 series, 1st=4star, 2nd=5 star, this is a let down, so only 3 stars. the whole "hamsterdam" thing is gargage and the actors know it, they look a bit embarrased at having to do something that is not believable and it shows. overall, its messy and lacks focus. have even debated with myself to stop watching it and get on with something else instead, whereas the 1st 2 series were riviting. after this, i dont know if i'll give series 4 a go.

This is a fantastic collection and at the current Amazon price it is a total bargain, Amazon has it a £17.98, Cheapest i have seen elsewhere is £48.00. The show itself a real classic, With the perfect collection of great writing and superb acting. If you love comedies buy it, If you don't and you want cheering up during the credit crunch buy it,. You won't regret this purchase.

This DVD was worth the purchase for the Learn the Alphabet extra feature alone. This held the attention of my 3 year old and has the added bonus of being interactive. Simple for kids to navigate using arrow and OK buttons on your remote control.

I purchased (with some excitement) this version on DVD as it says on the cover it's a "restored" version and the running time was stated as 86 mins opposed to the previous DVD release of 82 mins. I was convinced that it would be a "restored" version with the song "When Love is Gone" put back in... But sadly, it wasn't! Alas, it was just a re-package of the previous release. I've decided to keep it anyway and not take it back for a refund as I don't have it on DVD, but I have just bought the VHS version from Amazon so I can watch it this Christmas in it's full "RESTORED" version!

I have never done pilates before and having read other reviews decided to purchase this dvd hoping for a good introduction to a pilates workout. And this is exactly what you'll get. If, like me, you're not a big fan of complicated dance routines done by a bunch of people in garish outfits whose 'ideal' bodies clearly have nothing to do with the exercise performed, you're gonna love this dvd. The exercises are shown in a slow and clear way by a friendly instructor - they are easy to follow even if you're doing it for the first time and effective from the first move. Even though this DVD is quite old, it has some of the best Family Guy episodes. The content on the DVD really shows how Family Guy became so popular. Each episode will make you laugh out loud even if your in the worst of moods 10/10.

This film takes me right back to when I was a kid on Christmas eve watching this film before being tucked into bed...I bought this for me and hopefully when my 2 are old enough they will enjoy this just as much... This is the REAL Santa and in my eyes always has been. 5 stars for nostalgia! Brilliant Film, enjoy!

We watch four middle aged men enter a down-at-heal office. They take seats around a table. Thay say nothing. One at the end coughs and asks "Shall we begin?" One to the side huffs audibly and then the opening credits rolls. How brave a start is that? Who would start a major TV serial like that these days? Ive seen "Tinker Tailor..." five times now and look forward to watching it a again. If there was a fire and I could run to save just one DVD this would be the one.

I watched this film as a child, then as an adult, and it always amazes me. Another truly heart warming Christmas film! Richard Attenborough portrays a wonderful Santa Claus, with his remarkable acting skills! It does not matter what age you are with this movie, old or young, it will warm your heart at Christmas time, with a few laughs along the way.
