This weekend the latest season review arrived in my mailbox. It was with great anticipation that I put it in the DVD player, hoping it would live up to the standard of the previous seasons. I'm happy to say it does. For me the following are important in a season review: 1. Easy access to all matches. 2. Chapter marks at the beginning of each match, so one can skip the interviews on repeated viewings. 3. Matches are shown chronologically. 4. All matches are included, except maybe friendlies. 5. Each match highlight includes chances from both teams. 6. The picture quality should be the best available. This season review scores 5 stars on all points. I'm not sure how anyone can ... It wasn't a great season, but it did mark the arrival at Anfield of the greatest striker in the world. This season review is worth getting for those 33 goals. There's also the record-breaking CL victory over Besiktas, and that fantastic CL quarter final against Arsenal. Be sure to fast-forward through the ManU and Chavski unpleasantness.

The content of this dvd is absolutely fine. The problem is that the second disc, the one where we actually won the slam, can't get past the menu. And that's on three separate dvd players. And after ordering a replacement disc from Amazon. Hopeless. I'm off to get a refund. Avoid!

Don't listen to the Manc from Essex, not being a real football fan he wouldnt know what its like to truly support a team and so wouldnt understand the concept of supporting a team through thick and thin, not just because they win titles and its the easy thing to do. We played some amazing football this season and although we ended up with nothing I wouldnt want to watch any other team. So lets be proud of our boys, our manager and most of all our fans- true football fans not glory hunters.

This is how a season review is supposed to be like. You get to see all the goals and all the matches. In between that theres interviews with the players relevant to the current state of the season. There are also good and informative stories behind some event during the season. And of course don't forget that this was a season of glory for the reds.

The last few season reviews have had the luxury of a happy ending with a trophy or two to savour. That said, it hasn't always been of the best quality (last years was the worst for twenty years!). It was with a little trepidation that I realised the same company that butchered last years review had produced this one. Nevertheless, it's a solid effort with little to quibble over apart from no mention or images of any sending offs (including Drogba's slap in the CL final). The match commentary is a mixture of Chelsea TV and Setanta's coverage throughout which is an improvement so I would urge all true fans to buy with confidence
