I was looking forward to this movie, this was one of the iconic books from my childhood. I have to say that I very much enjoyed it, however maybe not as much as the first film. The filming was excellent, with beautiful backdrops and surroundings, very good CGI and good acting. It's been so long since I read the books however, that I can't remember if this was faithful to the original though... will have to re-read them I think! The things that let it down for me were the comedy elements, the mouse-knights and alike fitted very much with a Disney film, however I thought that they were not necessary, and detracted from the story. i understand what pixar and disney were trying to do - promote global issues in a way kids can understand however the ideas are very adult and i wouldnt recommend for kids. BUT........... this is a master piece for adults. it has humour, the love story, the real life threats and the general likability factor!! this is a special movie and the first of its kind!! a must see for adult disney fans as we can understand the impacts and the messages that are to advanced for a childrens film. in addition youll end up loving wall-e and wanting to take him home :)

I was so disapointed and shocked at how much material was reused from the mock the week show I thought THAT Frankie would of use his wit and created a really good show but instead has dissapointed his fans from now on I will just watch mock the week instead of wasting my money on thing I have already seen.

I, like many people, am becoming a huge fan of Del Toro's work both in English and Spanish and having really enjoyed the first Hellboy was excited about seeing this sequel. I saw it twice in the cinema, once in London in a special preview screening and again back at home on it's last night - and was completely bowled over both times. For someone like me who watched Ray Harryhausen creatures slugging it out on TV as a kid with his jaw open - this movie is a dream come true, Del Toro has just unlatched the top of his head and spilled his imagination onto celluloid and the result is amazing. I watched the first few series on ITV and couldn't wait for the rest of the episode. It was humorous and still told the P&P story except you can imagine yourself in the story. Fantastic stuff

joint with Lion King as being the best Disney film ever and another one of my favourite films of all time. the animation is breathtaking and shows us the greatest set of characters ever. Arial is the definitive Disney princess...who actually fights for what she believes in and remains a truely beautiful Disney creation. Sabastean = the most hilarious Disney character after Robin Williams Genie in Aladdin. Ursula is neck in neck with Sleeping Beauty's Melefacent as the ultimate Disney villain. a remarkable film and Disney at its most epic and beautiful best that in turn marked a new golden age of Disney animation. the astonishing Beauty & The Beast, Aladdin, and (my fave)The Lion King followed this masterpiece. simply amazing

This is a staggeringly good piece of TV drama which has justifiably become a classic. It's hard to imagine any producer today taking the time to explore a novel in the way this adaptation does, a full 11 episodes which allow the viewer to luxuriate in the story and thoroughly explore the characters. There has always been debate over whether there was a mythological "Golden Age of TV", but I think the early 1980s saw something quite remarkable at Granada Studios, at least in the field of period adaptations, and Brideshead might just be the pinnacle. Evelyn Waugh's novel is a heady evocation of time and place, as well as an exploration of spirituality, and the series captures all this with consummate skill, from the glorious period detail to the brilliant script by John Mortimer. ... I've seen Russell Howard twice on stage, both times I've been rolling in the aisles. His jokes are quick, clever, and outrageous, especially the one about his brother! He deserves to go far. I will definitely buy this DVD as soon as it's released!

I was really dissapointed with this dvd, they could of done so much more with it, its just been rushed out into for Xmas. The best bits are the extras though. I thought more of you Harry. Wish i had waited till after xmas and it would of been half price.
