I was so disapointed and shocked at how much material was reused from the mock the week show I thought THAT Frankie would of use his wit and created a really good show but instead has dissapointed his fans from now on I will just watch mock the week instead of wasting my money on thing I have already seen.

I've seen Russell Howard twice on stage, both times I've been rolling in the aisles. His jokes are quick, clever, and outrageous, especially the one about his brother! He deserves to go far. I will definitely buy this DVD as soon as it's released!

Jimmy Carr is the ultimate comedian. Nobody else can pull off so many one-liners, rip into hecklers or shave closer to the funny bone than Jimmy. Anyone with even a vague idea of how comedy works will appreciate just how good he is. First a word of warning: this is not comedy for the easily offended. This is not family-friendly. One of my most favourite sitcoms of all time. Perfect performances, biting and surreal writing, daftness and cleverness in equal measure, great cameos from quality actors like Simon Pegg and Annette Crosbie: an absolute gem of a TV show. Rarely do the scenes venture away from the squalor of Bernard Black's bookshop, but they don't need to. The three main characters' foibles perfectly balance each of the comic scenarios. God I wish I had written this!

`Dead Set' is a TV show based around a fictional season of Big Brother during a zombie apocalypse. The remaining contestants as well as some of the production team try to survive in the only place that seems safe - the BB house. I wasn't expecting much from this to be honest. I love zombie films but I despise Big Brother but I watched the opening episode on E4 a few weeks back and by the end I couldn't wait until the next night to watch the rest. I've since bought the DVD and watched it all again - it is that good! I thought as it is based around Big Brother it would probably be tongue-in-cheek and be similar to something like Shaun of the Dead (which I love, by the way) but it was more in the style of 28 Days/Weeks Later with its fast editing, ... I'm not one for hyperbole but I'd be hard pressed to think of a better sit com in the canon of British comedy. You heard me! Peep Show has earned its place on the vaunted Brit Com pedestal along with Fawlty Towers, Blackadder and Only Fools and Horses. Starring comedy duo David Mitchell and Robert Webb the premise of the program is that it is shot entirely in the first person (actors use hand held or even head mounted cameras while they act through their scenes) and we the audience are privvy not only to their points of view but to their thoughts as well. i loved the first 3 series, its getting tiresome now seeing them lose all the time and to be quite honest i think the characters have been exhausted. Jez in particular i find annoying now, its still funny at times, but i fear peep show has run its course, its become a one trick pony. Quit while youre still just about ahead lads.

I miised this when it was originally on. I don't know how or why as it screams for watching by anyone that's ever been a gleefully geeky type into the sci-fi/fantasy genres that this often references. The series is excellent. Nothing lets it down. The characters are well realised, the dialogue is spot on, the humour can be a mix of subtle references, situational funnies, and glorious explosions of banter. This DVD set is also a winner. Like with the Shain of the Dead/Hot Fuzz DvD's, they show a love of the medium. There's options and options, all wrapped up in evocative UI's. This also has an idle mode that is worth letting run a while too.

This is the best show ever made! Laugh, cry, scream at the tele. I am only just getting over my post traumatic stress disorder from the end of season. Watch it you wont regret!

The more I watch Phoenix nights the funnier it gets. A rare work of genius witha fantstic ensemble cast of ourtrageous characters. Though often grotesque, it never stops being warm and affectionate. If you've ever spent time in a Northern working mens club you'll realise just how close to life it actually is.
