I had no idea what to expect from this movie, but the trailers looked interesting. This movie is an interesting angle, making a superhero with all too human floors. What you should not expect is a Marvel or DC comics movie, probably much more of an all American feelgood movie. Will Smith gives a good performance as our misguided superhero with a good supporting cast and good effects, makes for a nice easy watching movie.

The film was great to watch. Several songs were good and it was overall a enchanting film. The only let down was the ending but other then that it was a really good film.

Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging [2008] On a cinema trip with my mates one Saturday we decided to see 'Angus, thongs and perfect snogging'. I hadn't read any of the books but all my friends had and said they were amazing. And it turns out the film was too! It's incredibly funny and honest and I can't wait to get a copy of the DVD for christmas. Film of the year for me :)

I enjoyed this film a lot. The story is relatively simple. A schoolgirl gets pregnant and decides to put the baby up for adoption. She happens to be a wisecracking smartass, perhaps enough to be really annoying. In fact she seems such a know it all you wonder how she got herself into this trouble at all! However the film makes it clear however that Juno, depsite trying to be uber mature, is still just a girl. Have no doubt, this is a "feelgood" film. Nearly all the characters are basically decent people and the plot is tied up perhaps too neatly. I'm pretty certain if you're looking to buy this, you're not a new-comer to the series, so I won't break it down for you - so many reviews on each season for pick from, I won't bore you. Course if you are a new-comer... sorry. Simply reason for this review, is to tell you exactly what you're getting from this instead of the individual boxsets. Firstly, space-saver. Sounds stupid, maybe, but for those that are racing up 100s or 1000s of DVDs, it's a valid point, (yeah, that would be me, of course) and it is a growing problem. Secondly, you get extras that weren't on the originals, though flipside, if you have the first edition of Season One, (the 'format problem' one in the red case), you miss out on the extras on this, if you're swapping/up-grading). I was so excited when the film came to DVD, having not had a chance to see it at the cinema. I pre-ordered it, sent the hubby out, put the baby to bed, and settled back to enjoy. But what a disappointment! Why aren't my favourite girls happy? Samantha miserable in LA, Miranda back to her cynical and stroppy worst, Carrie a materialistic drama queen, and Charlotte - did she even have a storyline? Even her pregnancy announcement was muted, after so long trying. It's like the writer couldn't think what to do with her character, as she was the only happy one, and the only memorable moment for her was pooing her pants! I don't think I would have bothered signing back up for that! And the bit with Big in the car as he leaves Carrie waiting to get married - the acting is terrible! ... Read More:

Only recently watched both series - Alison Steadman is an excellent actress but feel she bas been cast in something that is far beneth her. I have to admit Ruth Jones as Nessa and Rob Byron as Bryn are both excellent as boring and as simple as Bryn is some of the lines were so funny the one about going on myspace and boosting about 5 friends I thought was quite funny The main 2 characters Gavin (who has also appeared in Catherine Tate show) is very wooden and Stacey who plays Gavin's g'friend/fiance/wife - must be the woman in men's nightmares - so clingy and the high pitched welsh accent made me just want to cringe All in all i feel that aside from the main 2 characters the show could be really good

First of all, I really can't compete with the first review on here, as it's fantastic, but I really want to praise Betty as well! Although season 2 doesn't have such a strong storyline as season 1, hey, it's still Betty! It's still as funny as ever, Marc and Amanda are still brilliant, whether they're together or off scheming by themselves. There are also some very good and unexpected twists in the story, so stay on your toes or you'll get confused! Although the season finale (what I mean by that is the last few episodes) is a bit disappointing, it's almost virtually impossible to go wrong with a bit of Betty. Overall, it's a great TV show that has given so many people all over the world the confidence to believe in themselves, and it's thoroughly enjoyable. I ... Read More:
