I bought this DVD for my father who already has a handicap of 12. He used to play off scratch but stopped playing along time ago when he started a family. Since taking up golf again for the last few months he has had a problem with his swing and other small parts of this game. Since watching the dvds his handicap went down to 8 after 1 game and is improving even more now, his swing problems have been sorted and is enjoying the game even more now. He has found this to be a very informative and well worth watching. Anyone wanting to improve their game should look to David Leadbetter to help improve their game.

I think this DVD is fantastic for the beginner of golf or for someone like me that has not played for 5-6 years, as a refresher on the fundamentals of how to put a round of golf together. All the basic aspects of golf are covered from TEE to GREEN, DRIVING to PUTTING and the correction of Bad shots such as HOOKS and SLICES (with an explanation of where they come from). Gary McCords presenting style is just up my street - not condesending or patronising - just witty and to the point. I watched it a few times and took the advise to the driving range and hit some far better, consistent shots than i did the week before - Perfect - just what i wanted - 5 stars. If you're like me and thought that this year's Ryder Cup was one of the greatest ever and want to have something to remember it by, then this is a great piece of history. It covers the complete event really well without either over doing it, or losing the best parts. The extras are fantastic too, and include clips from the press conferences, hole-by-hole aerial views, clips from the Junior Ryder Cup and greatest moments. My partner is also a keen golfer though not as much as myself, and was doubtful as to whether 2 and a half hours of the Ryder Cup on DVD would hold his attention. He admits being happily mistaken however and we'd both recommend this. A great victory!

I loved this video, as it showed clips of his genius from his very early days to his sad retirement from the game in 2007. As an ardent Seve watcher, I have viewed a lot of the action before, however there are still many amazing shots which I had not seen at all. On the other hand, I still have not seen on video his miraculous fairway bunker shot with a 3 wood at the 18th hole in the 1983 Ryder Cup to halve his match with Fuzzy Zoeller. I was hoping to see it as it is described enough by friends and in many book and magazine articles. Where is the clip? Help! However, this DVD is great value and I would also recommend that Seve's newly published autobiography would compliment this DVD very well for any true golf ... Read More:

Many of the comments provided through these reviews focus on the absence of Justin from the base material. I fully agree with that but am not surprised by it - it is the way things are. That said for what are now relatively cheap prices at Amazon or on Marketplace this is worth a punt - won't lose much on Ebay if you later hate it anyway! Having bought some John Jacobs stuff in parallel you should be grateful this is a tad more modern in presentation and image quality. Underlying guidance is worthy and good for beginniers who should, as previously offered up in these reviews, in any evebt go and get some lessons from the outset.
