This was my first ever fitness DVD purchase & I'm impressed. The box set is good value as it gives you lots of options. One dvd is a program that takes an hour, ideal for weekends. The 2nd DVD has 3 different 30 min workouts, ideal for during the week [before work in my case]. I alternate between the 30 min Pump & 30 min Box exercise. The Core Stability program doesn't do anything for me. Maybe I need to give it another go. The moves are easy to follow & you really feel that you have had a workout. Note: You need a mat & free weights to get the best out of the workouts. I was so impressed that I have since purchased Davina High Energy Five. hopefully it will be just as good.

Okay...I have been doing this DVD for 7 weeks now. It actually is really good. Can definitely see how Natalie Cassidy lost all that weight. Im now 13 pounds lighter and have lost 13.5 inches off hips/thighs/waist! I have done the DVD every day for the past 7 weeks apart from 3 or 4 days I've had off and eat between 1000 and 1500 calories every day. It's really good fun - definitely makes you build up a sweat and it's hard work but after about 3 weeks I found it much much easier to do, and now it's just enjoyable! :-) Have to add though that I wasn't terribly unfit or overweight to begin with - just wanted to lose some weight, tone up a bit and improve overall fitness. Excellent DVD though...she has done well! :-)

I was actually going to buy a different exercise dvd but the good reviews for this one swayed me. The instructor is really pleasant (I havent heard of her but shes in that sexy 80s style call on me video) she is good at instructing and from the warm up onwards you will get a really good exercise session. There is a lot of bouncing around (in a dancy Ibiza sort of way) so if you live in a flat the people downstairs may not like you too much! But I would really recommend this workout - its taxing but you do feel like doing it regularly - honest!

I have just recently got back into exercise and I am so glad I bought this, for less than a fiver no less! Don't be put off by the instructors perfect body, smile, tan etc. She is really good, gives clear instructions and encouragment. This DVD is great for beginners who are not sure how to exercise with weights or for people who favour their cardio and are a little lazt when it comes to weights, like me. The 10 minutes sections make it impossible NOT to do something, you can fit something in at anytime, even in the morning and they are also great if you want to add bits to other work outs you do. Excellent value for money and results you can see!

I've owned fitness DVD's before & have found them to be repetitive, boring & uninspiring... & have, not surprisingly, very quickly lost interest. This is the first 'celebrity' fitness DVD i've bought as i hate the whole celebrity culture thing & have refused to buy into it. However, i've read time & again how good Davina's workouts are & as celebrities go i don't mind her too much! Firstly i want to say if you can't stand Davina (as i know many people can't) DON'T rule out this excellent DVD - one of it's extra's is a mostly music version with little vocal input from the lady herself! In terms of an introduction to pilates its pretty good, but the woman who takes you through it looks like a body builder ( i can't say that i was excited about the prospect of looking like her once i'd had a few goes!) and she is american and insanely irritating with a fixed fake smile on her face through every move. Its a little bit disturbing. If you're looking to lose weight i'd stick to something like 'Charlie Brooks's before and after workout' which includes a pilates based section which is much better and A LOT less irritating!!

Contrary to other reviews, I find the music dreary and depressing, not the least bit inspiring or uplifting. Also, the proper way of pilates breathing is not mentioned AT ALL. To get the best from exercising, this is vital. The exercises do not flow. You are still on the floor and Darcey is already standing up doing the next exercise. Very poor and a big disappointment.

Oh my! Having had a one to one, attended a beginners class of six people, and tried one other Pilates DVD, that was also too fast, I bought a copy of this for myself and one for my friend as a birthday pressie. I'm disappointed, definitely not for beginners, which I still am. Nor for the unfit, or those with difficulty moving 'cause their body is a bit past it's best, and no amount of WD40 would get these joints moving quickly (unfortunately, I also fit this category!)! There is no mention of thoracic breathing, of 'zipping and hollowing' the 'Pilates way' to protect the back, I found it quite aerobic like in pace, and I thought Pilates was a SLOW but effective exercise. There's no doubt this is a good cardio workout. But so is going for a run in a beautiful part of the country, which is far more enjoyable. It will make you sweat but is, quite frankly, ridiculous. You really don't look like you should be doing the work out unless you're wearing a neon yellow lycra bodysuit. Personally, I couldn't find the motivation to do this - it's no fun, you look like an idiot and if you have bad knees is one to avoid. Also, it's almost impossible to do anywhere - there's so much jumping up and down that it's a definite no for anyone living in anything but a detatched house with very robust floors. Even then you'd have to do it downstairs.

Sorry, but i found thid dvd soooooo boring. I like a really good workout where you can build up a sweat and this is not it. I bought this dvd as i've done yoga before but this dvd is so slow and boring it doesnt keep me interested at all. Also Louise is quite annoying too, she speaks through her nose and emphasises the word "body" which is really annoying. I am thoroughly dissappointed with this dvd, i expected better.
