At least the other movies had a tenuous grip on reality, the stunts and action sequences at least SEEMED plausible and the story lines were routed in established well known mythology. This was just too way over the top, like a cartoon. Karen Allen's grin and that god damn tarzan bit put the turd on the cake.

It's all about establishing internal logic with these films. This one had none.

The locations were dingy.

Great film, awesome performance by the Joker and 2 face. However, there are 2 reasons why i only gave this film 4 stars.

1. Batmans voice is ridiculous. Its the worse put on gravely voice in film and really grinds on me, esp the last scene with the joker.

2. Why oh why is that goon Caine, Alfred the butler. Cockney butler for one of the worlds richest tycoons - unlikely. I prefered Michael Gough, a classy English accent.

I was looking forward to this movie, this was one of the iconic books from my childhood. I have to say that I very much enjoyed it, however maybe not as much as the first film. The filming was excellent, with beautiful backdrops and surroundings, very good CGI and good acting. It's been so long since I read the books however, that I can't remember if this was faithful to the original though... will have to re-read them I think! The things that let it down for me were the comedy elements, the mouse-knights and alike fitted very much with a Disney film, however I thought that they were not necessary, and detracted from the story. Word of warning though, not sure if I would let very small children see it though as there is quite a lot of violent deaths ... Read More:

Enjoyable, mindless, and very funny. Downey Jr. was surprisingly brilliant. Little plot or real substance but who cares, just fun hokum and the best film I've seen for a while. Recommended.

Could the movie live up to the hype? Most definitely. Buy this film if only to see Heath Ledger's portrayal of Batman's arch-enemy the Joker. His performance is worth the cost of the blu-ray alone. I always though that Jack Nicholson's performance would set the standard, but Heath Ledger's Joker knocks that into a hat.

This is a continuance of the Dark Knight created originally by Bob Kane and later re-invented by Frank Miller. Batman ain't Mr NIce Guy and nor should he be. In fact Batman comes across as harder and possibly mentally unstable but then again to wear latex and a cape you have to be a bit mad.

If I found one fault in the film, it would be that it is too long. I would have rather this had been extended and made ... Read More:

I loved the original Mummy movie -it was rip roaring, silly entertainment that didn't take itself seriously and was all the more fun for it. I was excited for this one and approved the move from Egypt to China/the choice to create a new Mummy to keep the franchise getting stale.

Shame the end result IS stale. The dialogue's cheesier than ever but less witty and self aware, the fabulous John Hannah is demoted by the writers to the poor and unfunny comic relief with a set of really atrocious gags that are unworthy of him, and gamely as Maria Bello tries Rachel Weisz is missed. You no longer care about these characters as you did in the first movies - Rick and Evie are now just nauseating, their son has zero charisma and the new characters have no charm. The ... Read More:

I thought Season One and Two were fantastic, and the mystery and lacks of answers was enthralling. However, I felt that Season Three started to go astray, and it just seemed to keep creating crazy questions just to keep us on the edge of our seats. If you felt that about Season Three, then you will continue to be frustrated with this season. Instead of flash-backs, we now have flash-fowards, which seem great, but through the progression of the season, the situation on the island becomes more and more ludicrous. The climax of the season is just completely awful, and proof that all the greatness is Lost (pun intended).

I had no idea what to expect from this movie, but the trailers looked interesting. This movie is an interesting angle, making a superhero with all too human floors. What you should not expect is a Marvel or DC comics movie, probably much more of an all American feelgood movie. Will Smith gives a good performance as our misguided superhero with a good supporting cast and good effects, makes for a nice easy watching movie.

What a refreshing change from the last few cheesy, old-fashioned, out-dated, badly scripted bonds. Hurrah for Daniel Craig, Jason bourne has nothing on you

I tried to open minded about this film when I first went to the cinema, determining that "I'm a star wars fan, and no matter how bad it is, it's still Star Wars."

That feeling lasted about um... a second and a half from the start of the film. It started off fine with the, "A long time ago in a galaxy far far away." I smiled, prepared myself for the classic theme and it... never came. I had been told it was 'remixed' beforehand, but I was expecting something not too different, the new composer didn't even keep the first 4 notes.

Then we move onto the 'Opening Crawl' - which didn't exist. Another staple of Star Wars, even found in the games, gone, poofed completely. It was replaced with a narrator speaking over a kind of WW2 'news reel'. A few minutes ... Read More:
