Ukrainian actress Olga Kurylenko is out of place in this piece of crap film based on a computer game. Hollywood - obviously running out of ideas for new films now seems to try anything - from computer games to sequels to remakes. This DVD features the UNRATED version of the film, which is a bit more violent than the PG-13 version shown in movie theaters in the States. Nonetheless it DOESN'T make a crappy film any better. And sorry, Timothy Olyphant is NOT a convincing actor at all.

my boyfriend had gone on for ages about how good this film was so when i went away for a week i stole it out his dvd case to watch. Mel Brooks has a particular style which is so recognisable that you don't even have to check who the director of the film is. The one highlight of this film for me is Gene Wilder whom I think is fabulous. To be honest the three stars predominately go to him rather than the actual film, which is humorous in its own way, although sadly there is something lacking. I felt the film would have more of a kick of constant and intelligent humour rahter than lukewarm gags here and there. However its a good enough film, so worth a watch.

The storyline for this film had great potential. A former Nazi bunker in Eastern Europe, where experiments to create a supersoldier were conducted. Mix in some space-time science and a band of mercenaries and you have the makings of a good movie.

It is unfortunate then that there are so many plot holes - the Nazi soldiers are first ghosts, then zombies, they can appear and disappear at will yet do not use this power. There also seems to be no reason why the Nazi soldiers cannot begin reconquering Europe, but instead they are happy to roam the bunker and the woods immediately surrounding them.

I'm not a big fan of horror films and Outpost has helped to remind me why. Save your money and don't rent or buy this film.

This is a great sci-fi film. Think Indiana Jones in Space or What Han Solo's life would've been like before taking Luke and Obi-Wan on board. I agree that watching Firefly first is a must as you then get to know and care about all of the characters which only adds to the experience. It's very witty, clever, got great characters, and a good story. Give it a go. You'll love it!!

I missed the entire Battlestar Glactica oeuvre when it came out (indeed the original series as well) but read so many reviews about the allegorical sophistication of BG, I thought I'd better check it out. The obvious place to start is the 2004 mini-series, assembled on DVD as a three-hour feature (and selling for less than four quid on Amazon as I write). Aficionados claim the series doesn't get into its stride until later, but this was for me an impressive opener. The human species is attacked by the Cylons, a robot-race that comes in two distinctive designs; toaster-on-legs and hot, hot humanoid. Thanks to some sexy treachery involving the latter, the human defences are annihilated leaving a rag-bag of refugee vessels, clustered round the eponymous `Battlestar' ... Read More:

Of all the Prison Breaks, this season was the best so far. On the run, it left far more scope for the heroes to have adventures. Plus, there were some great surprises - not all the characters make it to the end of the season!
I also felt the characters developed more here - it wasn't simply Michael coming up with incredible solutions to impossible situations all the time, but others were allowed the limelight a little more often.
A terrific season which I'm really going to relish on DVD.

I watched this movie based on the Amazon reviews here so it's my own fault really!

This is a souless mish mash of popular action films of days gone by such as The Karati Kid and Fight Club, deliberately targeting the Dawson's Creek audience. The acting is of Dawson's Creek standards too, lots of school kids who look 30 trying to be all grown up while having terribly one dimentional angst issues and who like to film school yard scraps with their mobile phones to be posted on the web.

But the main aim of the film is to show fighting action and is therefore based on the UFC 'style' of fighting. This here was the main problem with the film: Isn't UFC fixed? Another extention of the Wrestlemania phenomina? Is it possible to get odds at Ladbrokes for the next ... Read More:

Okay so here is me a huge spidey fan (of the comics) and this film dispite what meny say is NOT as bad as meny claim.

Quite frankly i enjoyed it but it needs that story telling drive it had in two and even flawed one had that as well 3 just missed in it my eyes.
There was too meny storylines and only so much time to play with but you see thats my main thing with the film the villains... well that and emo dance petey but mostly..... Venom.

Ah Venom.

He is and most likely always will be in my eyes the king of comic book bad guys its a shame they used him for min or two and BOOM gone.
The storyline was kinda stupid also but if you can get past the flaws its a good superhero film at least rent it give it try.

I am sick and tired of all this green faced evil that pollutes so much of our films and TV. All the evil implications of having a green face are evident in this film, and the subtleties of the evil that the mask makes people do is overt and a little disturbing to say the least.

If anyone out there has studied the history and meaning of green faces they will understand this film's evil intentions and undertones. I cannot look too long at the cover of this DVD because of evil greeness and I bookmark and skip the bits when Jim 'can't act' Carrey has the mask on. It would be a good film if he and the green face elements were left out but as it stands this film is evil and it knows it.

Please do not let evil green faces into your life, look elsewhere for evil green faces and reduce ... Read More:

Why has nobody reviewed this series before? Winds of War, and its follow-on series War and Remembrance (unfortunately only available in region 1 coding) is the best war drama, and probably even the best dramatic series I've ever watched.
Superbly acted, brilliantly directed, historically accurate and faithful to the book, you will be riveted from start to the sad and moving ending.
Made for US television, was it ever shown on TV in this country? It's surprising if not as it is very pro-British.
Taking several years to film, in the late eighties, there is some loss of continuity between the two series, because some of the actors had to be changed. But it gets better as it goes on.
