I expect that if your buying this you'll know what its about so I'll review on the quality of the image if I may. Some films, especially older ones have a poor quality transfer onto DVD, though not this one. Colours and detail are first class, offering up a bright colourful image devoid of any nasties (blocking etc. If you've seen DVDs of the orignial Star Wars the picture quality is on a par with them.

I'll probably be lynched for this heresy!... but I wouldn't recommend this one unless you're a diehard fan of one of the actors, or just a special effects geek. This film wanders around, without much of a plot, relying far too heavily on humour [!??] and special effects. I won't spoil it for those who haven't seen it, but want to, but it destroys relationships, with characters betraying one another instead of standing together. Not a 'Feel Good' film, and not a PATCH on Pirates I, Curse of the Black Pearl.

Upto now I have quietly enjoyed the first 3 movies although they were nothing special. In previous reviews I gave all of them 3/5 and to be honest up until the final 20 minutes I was about to award the same for 'the Goblet of Fire'. The finale' certainly makes this film and we see Lord Voldermort at his evil best. Actually, it is a darker more absorbing film than the others and carries on in a similar vien to 'The Prisoner of Askaban'. The downside to this film is that it does drag on for a bit but that doesnt really bother you until you watch it again. For your children, they will find this scarier than the others .... but not too scary. Enjoyable for kids, enjoyable for adults.

Having been impressed by the first two series of Deadwood, I was expecting another well written dramatic jewel. What a disappointment. The plot, such as there is, meanders along, with new (superfluous)characters thrown in with the obvious intent of providing continuity for the next (never to be completed) series, more incoherent drunken ramblings from Calamity Jane, a pointless cameo from Wyatt Earp and a finale that, by the time it arrives, is so overdue that it comes as a relief from the tedium, despite it's complete lack of drama. Series 3 of Deadwood is rubbish. It could have been a masterpiece. However, having said that, the acting of Ian McShane et al is still superb. based in the "Farmington"distrcit of los angeles, the shield is a gritty cop drama. lots of action, sex and drugs this show is compelling viewing. good cops, bad cops and then the strike team this show has everything. although many people may see vic mackey as a dirty cop he is keeping the streets safe in his own way which causes problems for everybody else!!! throw in a cast of different cops and you have the wondeful world of the shield

fight club is one of my favourite movies and i think this film is one of the best of all time.with its cast and crew this film is extremely powerful.and fight club shines with good acting of brad pitt and edward norton.this two disc dvd set also deserves 5 stars in all aspects.with the movie seven i think fight club is best film of brad pitt. with fascinating performances and messages this movie will always be remembered as a masterpiece. i recommend this small treasure box (this dvd set) to everyone who wants to see a really powerful and funny movie.yes this film is both teaches and amuses at the same time.

Having only just watched this film for the first time last night I was intrigued to see what others had written about it because for me it was a real mixed bag. To my shame I didn't really know the story of Merlin and King Arthur etc so was interested to watch from a factual point of view and my toddler did get up in the middle of it all and wandered about making lots of noise so it was difficult to follow everything (must watch again) but the story was really really good, very gripping and some of the acting was excellent particulary from Jason Done (who again to my shame I have never heard of) who played Mordred, King Arthur's illegitimate child and he brought a real edge and genuine comedy to the film. Slight correction to MarmiteMan's review. Police Squad was shown on TV long before 1989, I beleive 1983. I finished school in 1983 and remember 'discussing' it at school. I believe that ITV (it may have just been local ITV in Hampshire)showed it in the early evening.

I dont wish to say too much about series 3 and 4 except to say it follows in the tradition of the first two series. Enhanced by a new barmaid and an airman who is disguised as a French Police Officer ("Gud Moaning, I have a massage for Ronny") it remains a laugh a minute throughout with some hilarious episodes. For instance, tunnelling into a prisoner of war camp, a barmaid disguised as a nun being flown through the air on a kite, German Officers desperatly trying to avoid the Gestapo Officer Herr Flick getting his hands on the real painting of the Fallen Madonna with the big, well you know what I mean. When are the remainder of the series being released though? Hope its soon so I can complete my collection.
