Once again sony pictures have released another mess. they have mislabelled the set, rambo 3 is NOT 5.1, it is in fact the same disc that appeared in a previous set that i also own. first set i bought had a faulty rambo 2 disc so i took it back and now i find that the 3rd film is NOT what it is claimed to be. Be totally aware of what you are buying.

This film, based on the dreadful events of 1990's Sierra Leone (limbs hacked off, families massacred etc) is in the 4 to 5 star range. It could be upsetting for some people to watch, because it DOES show brutality, sadism, indifferent UN officials suffering from compassion-fatigue. In a word, it is realistic. My wife, the daughter of an ex-RAF air traffic controller, who was born in Tanganyika territory (now Tanzania), found it very upsetting to see, partly because as a child she watched something very similar happening across the border river in Congo in the 1960's. The film does show the Africans as people, not just a backdrop to fighting and adventuring...and for once, the white people are not shown as almost all wicked or stupid, though the film does ... I would give this no stars at all. There was NOTHING beautiful about "life" for the Jews who went through the Holocaust. This is the most cynical, insensitive, arse-covering, insulting interpretation of the Holocaust ever to be produced. I hate it! And I hate that foolish Roberto Benigni for producing it.

What can be said that hasnt? This is a beautiful movie but I only hope everyone saw it in theatres, the bigger the screen the better for this movie. The commentary is worth a listen but be warned they liked the movie on the big Imax screen too, and mention this a lot through out the movie how you can see more if its an Imax print. This made me feel a little cheated and I dont think they should have gone on about it so explicitly but that aside this is going to be a beautiful rich movie with style however big your screen is. As for emotional, my friends ,male and female both cried at the end of it.

After the disappointment of Eps2 and 3, the Clone Wars goes a long way towards rekindling the excitement I've always associated with Star Wars. It returns to the non-stop action rollercoaster feel of the Luke Skywalker days, where the heroes gallop across the galaxy from one hot spot to the next, light-sabres blazing and blasters, err, blasting. The style of animation takes some getting used to: it's nothing like a realistic or slick as Pixar, so you won't be seeing images like those in the feature-length Beowulf or Final Fantasy films. Instead it merges the Star Ward universe with some mange/anime styles to create a different, 2D experience. The first two Alien films are amazingly good, & the rest are well worth watching but less excellent. This is a great collection & good value for money.

This is quite simply one of the greatest western's ever made.Brilliantly directed by Sergio Leone and with a fantastic soundtrack from Ennio Morricone,'Once Upon A Time In The West' seems to get better with each viewing.It is at times brutal,moving and comical and a tribute to the vision of Leone.Almost every scene involves something memorable.The fantastic opening sequence,Cheyenne sliding the lamp to illuminate Harmonica's face,the slaughter of the family by Frank,the list is endless. As one of the only 12 people who was genuinely delighted at Daniel Craig's casting when it was announced , I must admit I was more than a little worried about Casino Royale. Not the kind of paranoia that those newcomers who'd never experience the changing of the guard the series goes through every decade or the staggeringly venomous hate-mongering of the more fanatical Brosnan fans who felt compelled to start libellous hate-sites, though. This is my favourite tv program ever and i wouldn't argue with someone who said this was the best season either. Utterly brilliant, the concept of the show is genius and this series has in my opinion the greatest twist in the history of motion picture. 2pm and 11pm are my favourite hours.
