I saw this film as a child when I was about 5 and we taped it so I watched it many times before it wore out and then I just forgot about it. Now 20 years on I was buying the Wizard of Oz for my two children when I saw this and I couldn't believe it, even the cover brought back memories of the film.The dvds were a christmas present but I couldn't wait so as soon as they arrived, I sat down with my son to watch it and it was just as good as I remember, it took me back to my childhood again. I should mention that it is a little scary in parts, it might not be suitable for those under 7 ,but is a must see kids dvd that was very underrated, its not as sugary sweet as the wizard of oz but I think its a better interpretation of the books.

My 2 -year old and 7-year old children absolutely loved this. There is a mystery and an exciting race. The Little Einstein characters are linked to the rhyme of the 3 Little Pigs. The Little Pigs get into big trouble in their aeroplanes but are saved by the Little Einsteins. The journey takes them to space, China, Hawaii and Machu Picchu in Peru. The music includes Rossini's William Tell overture.

Actually this is an enjoyable enough movie for those who love Glenn Close or Ioan Gruffudd, and there are lots of fun elements to enjoy. The parrot who thinks he is a dog is an absolute scream, and the film itself is well made and well shot in my opinion. There is nothing really wrong with it except for the story itself. I can't even fault the script really...I think they did the best they could under the circumstances, and the actors all came up trumps...but as I say it's the story that lets the whole thing down. Sometimes an original story based on established characters can work well (and has done), but this is not one of them. Five stars all the way. Disney are proving that they're the company to beat when it comes to the next gen format. Almost all of their releases so far have been flawless. From the great Ratatouile, the 3D like image on High School Musical and the the stunning Pirates (Black Pearl) they have raised the bar for picture and sound quality. This release is no different. Enchanted is as close to perfect as you can get - the picture leaps of the screen and the sound drags you into the experience. The film itself is fantastic fun for adults and children. The story shows what happens when an animated princess wakes up in modern day New York (as the not so animated Amy Adams) Amy is incredible in this movie - she makes you believe that she's stepped out ... Lovely opening credits with a snowy scene leading to the House at Pooh Corner, leads into reminiscence of an earlier Christmas, then into an older film where Pooh has forgotten to add his request to the Christmas list. I prefer the older cartoons. The voices are much better. Then another newer film. Not very long but gives you a warm fuzzy feeling no matter how old you are.
