when asked what my favourite film is ill invariably say disneys Robin hood and the blank looks on the questioners face normally is just a comon occurance that until they have seen the film they dont understand why its so good! Children and adults alike will love this film, ok the graphics are dated but for 1973 they are very good, the story is jolly, heart warming and a great take on an old fable. The characters are all animals which makes a change, they are all voiced amazingly and fitting to the animal in every way! The film isnt long but with small children thats ok and the music gets stuck in your head for a good day after seeing it! Its a definate classic for families and for the disney lover this ... This was one of my favourite disney films when I was little and when I saw it on DVD fully restored with pristine picture quality I had to buy it. This may not be on the same terms as Lion King, Bambi, Little Mermaid and other disney classics we all know, in terms of popularity but this film has its own charm to it and is just as good as the others, with its sense of imagination, humour and positive messaging. This is a great film in its own right and for any disney fan or someone looking for a good family film it should be in your DVD collection.

The opening shot is of downtown New York City. Only these aren't normal buildings but towers of blocks of trash. WALL-E (voiced by beeps and Ben Burtt), our hero, is a glorified trash compactor who has made the mountains. As we follow him across the vast landscape, we learn that he is the last of his kind and that he is indeed on earth. Humans fled years ago because they bought into the commercialism of the Buy-n-Large stores that ruled the earth. The resulting garbage overran the planet. But WALL-E is not a mindless robot. He is curious and collects bits and pieces of things that are still intact. At night, he takes these to his bunker where they are on display a la Ariel. This is an entertaining movie with behind the scenes features and would have been better off without adding that there is a 3D part to it when there isnt. I bought this DVD hoping to get a good movie and a real 3D experience, but the 3D is really poor and is definatley not worth wearing those plastic "3D" glasses for about an hour and a half. Reccomended if you are a huge fan of HM and MC though!

In addition to all the positive things about this DVD I would just also like to mention two drawbacks: 1.) If you don't like the Walt Disney singing parades, this is a no for I'm afraid it contains quite a few 2.) The stories do NOT come to a natural and obvious end but rather one leads on to the other so you do have the debate as to whether the child may not watch a little more ...and just another little more ...

What is so exquisite about Sleeping Beauty is that it looks like a medieval tapestry coming to life. If you look closely at the details in the backgrounds you can see little twists in the leaves and curves in the tree bark which overall gives an ornate and opulent look still refreshing to this day. It was the most expensive film in it's day, it took over four years to make and Walt Disney stated to his artists and animators that they should take their time over it, make it beautiful and so it came as a shock when it didn't do all that well in the cinemas. It wasn't really able to communicate to an american youth who were smoking things they shouldn't and it seemed this highly romantic film was too idealistic in it's portrayal of young love, it felt as if it should have been released ... This is Underdog [2007]a great film, disney at its best. I took my children to see it at the pictures and we had to wait ages until it came out on DVD. We have all watched it so many times that we know the script off by heart. All the characters work really well together, who wouldn't want a talking dog, it's funny for both young and old, leaves you with a happy feeling.

There are not enough words to express how much I truly adore this movie, it's legendary! I could watch this every day and still not get bored, I'm not even going to wait until I have kids to try and justify me buying it.

Joy of joys! Tinkerbell is a 5-star film with jingle-bells on. It's simply magical, and anyone in your household will fall in love with its sparkly, fairy-dusted prettiness. Peter Pan (the Special Edition, no less) is vintage Disney at its best. In some ways, modern Disney can't quite rival the old stuff, and it's the 1953 film that cemented Tink as Disney's biggest star (for a while there, she was receiving more fan mail than all the other Disney characters combined) and created the iconic vision of her in short, green dress and flicky blonde fringe. The slightly mercenary bit: as I write, Tinkerbell DVD is £11.98 (and, seriously, worth every single penny) and Peter Pan is £7.98 (in and of itself excellent value) totalling £19.96; the box-set containing ... Cars is a brilliently delightfull film. From the moment you watch ti you are left with the feelings of affection for this car. its a really entertaining film were you feel happy one minute and sadered the next. A remarkable film that both adults and children will enjoy.
