The story opens in 1932 at the country estate of Lord and Lady McCordle; guests arriving for the weekend include friends and relatives and even a Hollywood movie producer. Of course, they bring their servants who bustle around downstairs to make life grand for their betters upstairs. When someone is found dead - and it appears he was murdered twice - everyone seems to have a motive. Based upon JJ Connelly's London crime novel, this movie is actually quite good. It lets us inside the world of the British drug world. Daniel Craig, who will play James Bond in the next movie, plays the main character, whose name is never divulged. He shares his words of wisdom and golden plan on how to succeed in the drug business and get out of it alive. We watch as the movie takes us on a twisting ride where just when you think you figured out what is going on, it changes. The score was just right, you did not notice yet it enhanced the movie, just as a score should. This movie will have to be watched a couple times to catch everything, but the first time will be the best. Even the ending takes you by surprise. Watch it, you will like it. ... Read More:

There is very little I can add to the many favourable reviews this classic Dynamic Duo adventure has already received here on Amazon. This is the Batman I remember from my early teens, and will always be the real thing as far as I'm concerned! Unless I have missed it, none of the other reviewers have mentioned the sad fact that when it comes to Adam West and Burt Ward this film is pretty much it! No sign of any of the 120 TV episodes on DVD is to be found here, or even in the U.S., nor any mention of why that might be. The simple explanation seems to be the fact that Warner Brothers own the rights to the Batman characters whilst Fox own the actual programmes themselves! Well I've had this film on video, laserdisc, DVD and now Blu ray! ... I think I like it! Its nothing amazing plot wise, but its just darn good fun to watch! This is also a region free blu ray which makes it even more value! Picture is awesome! I upscaled the dvd version recently and it definetly looked dated! This blows it out of the water! However, the sound is the real showcase here! if you have a hi def sound system get ready to be blown away!

I am a big fan of waking the dead, but had never actually watched the first series. After being given some amazon vouchers, I recently brought this series and was not disappointed at all! It was good to see the team frst coming together and forming their often strained relationships. Added to that were the gripping storylines and solid acting. One of the most haunting episodes is Small Sacrifice. Not only is it spooky, but quite moving too. I am eagerly awaiting series seven, but this should certainly keep you going in the meantime!

If you haven't seen this yet then I suggest you watch it, as it is very good. Don't listen to the critics who have said this is crap because it isn't. And it doesn't matter if you haven't seen all the seasons of 'The X-Files', as it stands well as a movie on it's own. Obviously there are some elements that reflect back to the series but that's more of an addded bonus to the X-Files fans. One of the main things I liked about this movie was the way the writers have decided to go more into Mulder and Scully's relationship which they didn't really bother with too much in the last film. I also liked the fact that it stayed very true to the tone of the TV show and is just as intense as a lot of the episodes were. So whether your an X-Files fan or not this film is definitely worth ...
