A fine DVD of the classic western famous for the witty by-play between Newman and Redford and the luminous photography by the distingushed Conrad Hall,this has some interesting extras,most of all a rarely-seen documentary of the film with fascinating behind the scenes footage, narrated by the director George Roy Hill.PARENTS BE WARNED!! though;Hill comes out with a few choice expletives during his commentary,so it should not be shown to young children.The DVD notes should've made this clearer,but barring this minor quibble it's an excellent all-round package of one of Hollywood's best remembered westerns.

I thought these episodes were better than most of series 1 and 2, generally more interesting. Exception: The rock star child kidnap episode was truly dreadful. Rupert Penry-Jones as Adam Carter is ; in my opinion, better than Mat MacFadayen ever was.

There is just one word to describe this movie,stunning. Hollywood just ca't make movies as good as this. I can't believe some people are giving it one star.

Really enjoyed this film and I am really am not easy to please (so I am told). No need for me to add words to what other more literate reviewers have said. Really good.

I was not even born when the first installment of Godfather came out in the theatres. But I always heard about it from all my elder family members, who had the chance to see the movie in the seventies. They always admired about it and its sequel that went into theaters in 1974. This June, when the Godfather trilogy box set came out, all the stories which I used to hear from other people came across my mind, and I immediately bought the Godfather trilogy box set, containing all three movies and two bonus discs covering the special features. When I started watching the trilogy from part 1, it gripped me right from the beginning till the end. Love Wire in the Blood. Think it's really intelligent, makes you pay attention. Tony Hill is an amazing character. I'm just wondering why the Texas episode Prayer of the Bone was not included in the DVD, copyright? And could you get it somehow, or would you have to have an American DVD-player?

I would give this 4 1/2 stars if i could. I agree it is not as good as the others, because (as has been mentioned) most of the characters are not as strong as previous seasons. This storyline also contains the most implausable, ridiculous plotline of all the seasons. 24 has always had plotlines which borderline on unbelievable but we let them off because the show is that good. I think we should also let them off here too because the season is great, however there is just too much "oh come off it!!" about this one storyline that you never really forget how silly this is. So we have weaker characters (still strong nevertheless) and an unbelievable plot aspect but apart from that we have a classic 24 with terrific episodes and moments ... Read More:

Hi Ros, The American 6 disc version has the following soundtracks: English-Portuguese-Spanish-Italian-French. Subtitles: English-French-Spanish-Dutch(lucky me)-Italian-Portuguese. The 3-disc UK version has English sound & subtitling only. Thought I'd let you know, as I know that many Croatians are good at Italian! If not, don't fret, I'm sure there'll be a multi language Euro version next year...

This is the seventh box set taking the excellent 'Sopranos' to it's inconclusive conclusion. The final nine episodes included here are of the same high standard as those before it and continues the build up of tension started in Season six part 1. Anybody who has watched the show and has got to this late stage in the saga will not be needing a review to decide on a purchase, you're going to buy it anyway!!. To those people it is an excellent buy. i'm just a little disappointed that the cost has remained substantially higher than all the series before it. You've got to buy it to complete the set and they know that! For this point alone i've reduced the score to four stars.

What a heart pounding thriller. Plots about assassinations are always exciting but this had a particular twist to it, being that the same event was repeated from different character's perspectives. What follows is a hair-raising helter skelter of events, each character noticing different significant moments that no one else knew of. A really good film and some stunning performances from Quaid and Hurt.
