This is one of the best films I've seen in ages - funny, touching and close to the book. It leaps from past to present, story to real life easily and effectively, and ties up Kissin' Kate Barlow, Madame Zerone and the Warden well, mixing up the stories as seamlessly as the book does. It is a beautiful adaption of the book - the screenplay was written by Louis Sachar himself, which means that it's been done exactly as he meant it to be. Writing is making a film in your head, and this is exactly the kind of film he was writing.

I started watching NCIS midway through season 3. I really enjoyed it so decided to get the season 1 box set. I'm glad I did. It is filled with action, excellent storylines and a wonderful cast. I have heard people compare this to CSI, this is nothing like CSI, it stands on it's own and shouldn't be put together with other crime shows. Highly recommended.

oh my god, if you havent seen this film there is somthing wrong with you. its the best christmas film ever. home alone is about kevin maclister being left home alone when his parents and family take a holiday to france. wont say much more dont want to spoil it for you but its one of my personal favourites. Home alone 2 is also amazing i know people say that sequals arent as good but in this cirmcumstance its just as good.

To Kill A Mockingbird Lone fathers and their kids have been a hit in many movies. I have severl examples, like, Ryan and Tatum O'Neil in Paper Moon, Jon Voight and Ricky Schroeder in the re-make of 'The Champ' and Dustin Hoffman and Justin Henry in Kramer vs Kramer. Gregory Peck, won an Academy Award, for playing a sole parent, and he's never been better. The script for this movie was based upon Harper Lee's sensitive and intelligent novel set in racially-torn Alabama. Gregory Peck, plays Atticus Finch, a wise lawyer bravely raising his two kids Jem(Phillip Alford) and Scout(Mary Badham) in the hot-headed Southern town. OK, i understand that it pushes the racial boundaries and yes it is a bit far fetched and over dramatic in places but its a damn god film throughout! The movie IS well orchestrated, slightly belivable but operates on so many different stages that its hard not to find something to enjoy. The mix of comedy, love, action, adventure and joy brings to gether a well balenced and heart wwarming movie for all the family. and liv tyler well who needs to say more!

Since its release I have heard and read mixed reviews mostly bad, these of course are from fans pissed off at the end of season 9! "The Truth" wasnt a very good or satisfying end to the series, as a hardcore fan I can certainly say. I suppose what people expected was something pretty damn spectacular here with this movie. We should expect that its the X Files for Peets sake. But many of the really cool episodes were written by writers other than Chris Carter, in fact I think you will find if you revise all your Box sets that the episodes written By Carter are the most lame. Kim Manners is working on Supernatural, Spotnitz is mostly on bigger movies while the rest are all over the board from CSI, Bones, the short lived 4400 right up to the new series of Fringe. ... Ireally enjoyed "New Tricks", the only complaint is that it was over too soon, I kept looking in the box to see if there were not another disc that I'de skipped over.

I made the mistake of actually buying this dvd. Whilst the beginning was good, there was an expectation of something drastic happening in the storyline and it didnt. I think M Night is losing the plot! Sixth Sense was fantastic, however this film kept you engrossed up to a certain point, then it ended to my sheer disapointment. You would expect something to happen in a film called The Happening or even for the lead role to do something a bit more than stare into space for 70% of the film! Massive dissapointment and waste of money. Just watch it on telly when it comes out, but dont waste your good money on this dvd when there are many better films out there!

Watch out! I bought this edition after reading the "Amazon.co.uk Review" above, where it says "On the DVD: Citizen Kane in this DVD special edition is beautifully remastered and comes with a feature illustrating the before and after of the restoration process. A 50-minute documentary, 'Anatomy of a Classic', hosted by Barry Norman, delves into the making of the film..." etc. Big mistake: Nothing of the description of the DVD is true! The review is written about a completely different edition of the film, not this one. The original film is a masterpiece, but this edition is certainly not!
