Space Jam as a movie has always held a special place in my heart. Being 12 years old as of this review, I have to say this movie has aged really well. Starring a real comic legend in Bill Murray and an acting great, Danny DeVito doing a voice over; this movie was destined to succeed. The real surprise for everyone was the performance of Michael Jordan. Although not exactly Sidney Poitier he did his job of being the face of this movie and when you make a movie with basketball as the main focus, you couldn't not have Michael Jordan.

The story goes that aliens from a theme park world named Moron Mountain, need a new attraction. Whilst throwing around ideas the evil boss, Mr. Swackhammer decides that he must get the Looney Tunes. He ... Read More:

DVD : Avatar - The Last Airbender: The Complete Book 3 Collection (REGION 1) (NTSC)
This third and final season of the truly great Avatar series is something of a season of two halves. The first half of the season sees Aang and his friends go undercover within the Fire Nation in order to wait for the eclipse that will rob the world's firebenders of their power. This first half of the season is good with the group learning new skills and meeting new friends while Zuko tries to settle back into his old life as Crown Prince. Everything changes in the second half of the season with the planned invasion on the Day of Black Sun but not everything goes as planned and the group must find a new strategy to defeat Fire Lord Ozai before he can conquer the world.

This season includes many great episodes with the first half of the ... Read More:

Let's get the perspective clear from the start: I grew up despising Barbie in all her guises - her only discernable use was as legitimate target practice for my action man. I resisted all things Barbie until my daughter was introduced to her via this exposition at a friend's house and Santa caved in on her fourth Christmas. Seen through the eyes of a parent, this film does terrible things to Tchaikovsky's masterpiece - cutsie animals, lavender unicorns and a changed ending but my daughter was captivated by this, the best of the series. By that magic ability that six-year-old girls possess that enables them to wrap fathers round their little fingers, she has since added most of the others, though this remains the favourite.

I loved this series so much when I was younger and Im so glad its available on DVD!!!

Tidyup makes me crack up - he's so funny bless him! He loves his gerkins and his ties! The episode with 'wash-your-face' is particularly funny. Go-and-play is very scary! Skipping and humming with those tight tennis shorts on! Very wierd!

Brilliant for all ages. Classic cartoon.

I bought this DVD with such great expectations. Peter and the Wolf with a new audio recording, brand new animation with Hardman style stop motion and all in PCM, DTS or Dolby. What could be better? Well, the piece, as far as I can remember, was narrated. In fact Prokofiev himself wrote the narrative. So having the story without a narrator, is precicely the same as having a piano cencerto being presented with no piano and letting the orchestra play the roles of piano and orchestra. I know that the orchestra musically plays the roles of the various characters but this should be in addition to the narrative - not instead of. I am at a loss as to why this should be so in this otherwise fantastic production. The music is played brilliantly by the Philharmonia and the animation ... Read More:

I bought this because my little girl loves the story of Rapunzel but this was nothing like the original story. Yes she has long hair and yes her name is Rapunzel but that is it. She did enjoy watching it but Rapunzel it is not.

Love this and related films - hilarious (certainly five stars). Ordered NTSC (region 1) version from seller Caiman who sent PAL version (region 2) to USA...and refused to send proper item after contacting them several times. Seller Caiman should be avoided (unusual for Amazon!); their customer service is just plain awful.
