Like I said.... This is a great piece of film! Very creative and interesting. I love the topics they discuss and the animation. I would definitely pick one up for myself.

This product as already mentioned by hundreds of other reviewers, compiles most of Aardman's best animations from the early 80s up to the mid 90s, these include the much loved "Creature Comforts", the hilariously clever "Pib and Pog", the story of two brothers, strangely united by war in "Watt's Pig", the intelligently animated "Owzat", the dark thriller "Babylon: Sweet Disaster" and random conversation pieces put to bloody talented animation.

The variety is like watching an Andy Warhol film festival; random and very abstract films that jump from one extreme to the other. Yet each animation is buzzing with ideas and clever humour guaranteed to delight a patient audience. I say patient because at first glance, the average viewer ... Read More:

This is a charming tale of friendship and loyalty with a little romance too. This is a film not just for children but for the whole family to enjoy time after time. Disney's classic 'Lady And The Tramp' is my favourite Disney film, as it contains something for everyone. So add 'Lady And The Tramp' to your Disney classics collection and let it work its way into your heart!

Before I say anything else, I'll say that I enjoyed this 'midquel.' In fact, I think that The Lion King 1 and 1/2 (or 3) should have gone theatrical. It's sweet, funny and the animation is downright gorgeous. Timon and Pumbaa are two of my favourite characters and I can never get enough of them.

But something's missing. It's that nostalgic feel I get when I watch the first two, especially Simba's Pride. It's simply not there. And it's because this was not part of my childhood like the first films were. I have no fond memories of it, since when it came out, I thought I was too old for 'a baby movie like The Lion King,' and so I didn't care for it. It's only when I realised that The Lion King was more than just a mere 'kids movie' was when ... Read More:

This is a great DVD to pick up for such a cheap price you get two discs which include every series of Visionaries every made and it includes the complete scripts for every episode. After all this time you can still sit down and enjoy the great storylines of the visionaries I would highly recommend this DVD as it is a another one of the many great cartoons of the 80s. I honestly feel that this cartoon was one of the most under rated cartoons of the 80s and it is such a shame they only ever made one series of this great cartoon.

I like `Shakespeare: The Animated Tales' as a concept and, of the ones I've seen so far, (most of the time) in execution: The texts, superbly sliced by Leon Garfield, abridgements rather than rewrites; the animations various in style, all of the highest quality, filmed in the studios of Russia; the voices of actors from the `British tradition' many of whom have performed Shakespeare on stage with organizations like the RSC and The National Theatre.

The idea is to provide short introductions to the plays which are accessible to a young audience but which don't make sacrifices to the gods of patronization or oversimplification and which not only inform but entertain.

The Taming of the Shrew is not an exception - it is an intelligent ... Read More:

I've been looking forward to getting this show on DVD since I first caught it by accident on Five last year. The animation is impressive, the jokes are funny and the stories are some of the best I've seen in a cartoon in a long time, very well written and told - good enough that it got this 28 year old hooked!

My only complaint, and the reason I can't give it the full 5 stars, is not with the show itself but rather the DVD. After such a long wait I was expecting something more, well,.. complete. This volume contains only the first 6 of 26 episodes in the first series. They are presented in lowly 4:3 (there's no excuse for that, Dragon looks better in 16:9!) and there are no extras at all. They have named it wrong too, the episode 'Dragon Rules' ... Read More:
