Here's my review, I hope it is helpful:

This Animated Shakespeare Box Set, winner of 2 Emmy awards, contains 12 of the bard's plays that were originally broadcast on BBC2 in 1994. The scripts for the 'Animated Tales' have been adapted from the original Shakespeare by Leon Garfield. A reknowed Shakespearean scholar, Garfield worked closely with a panel of academic experts to create plays that are masterfully abridged to only 30 minutes, yet are faithful to Shakespeare's language and plots.

The 12 episodes are :

1. Romeo & Juliet
2. Twelfth Night
3. The Tempest
4. A Midsummer's Nights Dream
5. Richard III
6. Othello
7. The Taming Of The Shrew

DO not expect "the simpsons in space" with Futurama- the humour is more adult and darker, the setting is not cosy, like the simpsons' suburb. I think the feel of the show was founded in the first episode with Fry walking into a suicide booth, thinking it was a phonebox. The animation is excellent-3D is mixed with Matt Goerning's distinctive style, making the show very appealing visually (except the bits with Zoidberg in- he's intentionally disgusting).
The sci-fi references are numerous, but you don't have to be a big sci-fi fan to enjoy Futurama, in fact, you can laugh at the genre with this show. In the audio commentary (which is availible on every episode and is very good) Goerning explains that the futurama universe is a mixture ... Read More:

The sheer skill involved in making these films along with amazing scripts and fabulous humour makes for entertainment that myself and my kids thoroughly enjoy. Any time it goes on I feel myself drawn to it. It is ageless and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Well, I can't say I know anything about the directors or the backgrounds mentioned in other reveiws, all I can tell you is that this DVD is great! I have the others (1-3) and this is the one that my children always want to watch, I don't know why, but something obviously grabs their attention!
If you are looking for one for the kids, this is it!

I vaguely remembred watching this when I was a kid. The images of the Trident ships and the music always stuck in my head. Its really worth catching this series at a bargain price. Every episode for less than a tenner!
Its very dark, unlike many cartoons today, and you constantly wonder if Ulyses will ever get home. Even the final episode has you guessing if the gods will release Ulyses and his crew from the curse they put on them.
Unlike its contemporarys this cartoon is not trying to sell you a toy, and thats refreshing I feel. The focus is on the story, not a product!
The crossing of greek mythology and science-fiction seems odd at first, but believe me it works. The classic story has been brilliantly retold and imagined. The ... Read More:

The chickens are tired of life on the farm, and fed up with being eaten when they get too old to produce eggs. They hatch various plans to escape , but none succeed. Then Rocky the Rooster (voiced by Mel Gibson) lands among them, and they think that he can fly and will help them to escape. But can he really fly?

This film is very amusing and the children love it. I enjoy it too. I do however always find myself rather cynically wondering (at the end of the film, when they have escaped to their life of freedom), how they are going to fare the first time they encounter a fox, or when it gets cold and food is scarce and they find themselves longing for their nice warm hen-house back on the farm. Stifle such doubts, just enjoy it.

This was essential viewing as a child of the 80s. Think it was shown on a Friday afternoon. Straight from school to sit and watch this.

The theme tune is unforgettable (and for me one of the more memorable bits apart from the Condor) and adds to the collection of theme tunes from all these very long 80s cartoons children on the 80s seem to love.

I haven't bought the box set as I'm not sure I have time to sit through it! But who knows, maybe sometime I will want to remember...

After receiving a note from her parents, Fiona, Shrek and Donkey head on a journey to Far Far Away where Shrek comes under the wrath of the King.

Shrek 2 was one of the most anticipated and well received animated sequels in recent years and broke many records, and is easy to see why with fun characters, daft humour and a very strong likability factor.

After winning an Oscar for the first, a sequel was always inevitable and though not as good as the first, this comedy still packs plenty of jokes in with the same and more loveable characters.

Myers, Murphy, Diaz all return to their respective roles, and Antonio Banderas comes in for the very cool Puss in Boots. John Cleese as the King, Julie Andrews as the Queen and the star of the show is ... Read More:
