The initial few seconds of the first episode give the impression that this is a serious piece of anime, but some pretty funny dialogue and a jaunty intro with lyrics best described as bonkers reveal this to be a bizarre yet brilliant mindblast.

You'll find that even if you have the American dub on that you will still require the subtitles - the speed of dialogue is frenetic to say the least! You need the subtitles in order to have your eyes and ears work together to work out what is being said, plus the two are often comically different.

This shamelessly mocks common anime conventions such as reusing the same animated sequence, frequently having female characters wearing next to nothing, and episodes having a conveniently ... Read More:

Hearing about Bleach coming to the UK, I was pleased. I'd been watching the series since 2005 through fansubs and had quickly grasped the series as being entertaining and rememorable.

I received this as a Xmas gift, and I'm quite pleased. The quality of these episodes is top notch. I even tried the DVD on a DVD Player upscaler to 720p/1080p and it still looked fabulous. The audio is crisp and clear, with both the English and Japanese voice tracks. As much as I like the original Japanese, the English dub is highly recommended. Great selection of voices to match the characters.

As for the subtitles...I was actually impressed. Manga Entertainment had screwed up the previous two Naruto releases, and I feared it wasn't going to be ... Read More:

This series of fruits baskets is well worth buying. Whilst it has to be noted that it isnt entirely true to the manga, it still retains the essence of fruits baskets. A word to the wise, its far more effective to watch it in Japanese with English subtitles, then the English dub-espically when you're watching Shigures hilarious scenes, or the episode where a loved up Kagura comes to pound her affections into a long suffering Kyo-kun. If you like the manga, buy the dvd!

Tsubasa Chronicle is a great anime series. I am a huge CLAMP fan generally and seeing characters from their other series in this long and rocky yet entertaining story is very fun. I would recommend this to someone who likes shoujo anime though. But don't let that stop you if you're a boy, belive it or not I watched this whole series with my Dad. Oh but, I must say that if you can then read the manga too. It's so far got 190 chapters... It's LONG. Way longer than the anime series so far.

The day of Rukia Kuchiki's execution has arrived, and all hell breaks loose.

That basically sums up the thirteenth volume of the "Bleach" anime, which first pacifies us with an amusing little filler episode before hurtling into the beginning of the Soul Society's battle. Not only does it start up a rebellion in the Seireitei's ranks, but it also brings Renji's personal struggles with Rukia and her brother to a dramatic -- and bloody -- climax.

First: the reappearance of the entertaining-in-very-small-doses Don Kanonji, whose show has dropped in the ratings. His solution: reform the Karakura Superheroes and get a new mascot, who happens to be a certain lecherous stuffed lion. But Kon ends up running away as the craziness increases, and ... Read More:
