If you enjoyed the first volume of Mushi-Shi, then I wholeheartedly recommend that you buy this. This series continues to excel in every area, and for me it is the series of the year so far.
However, if you haven't seen the first volume or read my review, or you want to know a little more about why this volume is so good, read on!
Mushi-Shi is a very unique anime; it's slow-paced, thoughtful, and gentle to the viewer, with soft, peaceful colours and beautiful scenery that you feel you could wander into.
As with the first volume, there is no plot linking all the episodes- the only constant is the titular Mushi-Shi (Mushi Master) Ginko, who wanders around, solving Mushi-related problems. However, this is in the show's favour; ... Read More:

DVD : Destroy All Monsters! [1968] (NTSC)

These movies must be starting to affect me. I am actually beginning to feel affection for these creatures. It is now 1999, and here they all are living peacefully on Monsterland, confined to its boundaries by the United Nations Scientific Committee, when suddenly an alien force takes control and they break free and head for several of the world's capitals. Godzilla attacks New York City, Rodan Moscow, Mothra Beijing, Baragon Paris and Manda London. The aliens are a female race known as Kilaaks who threaten to dstroy the human race unless it surrenders to them.
The U.N.S.C. manages to take back control of the monsters, so the aliens unleash the three-headed space monster King Ghidorah. What follows is an all out battle between him and virtually ... Read More:

The tenth volume of the brilliant Fullmetal Alchemist kicks of with something of a comic relief episode. In episode thirty seven we spend the day with Mustang and his gang while they try to get a date for Havoc and investigate the ghostly Warehouse 13. Episode thirty eight returns to following the Elric brothers as they attempt to get to the ruins of Ishbal but after a fight the two split up before finding a new guide who will lead them onwards. In episode thirty nine, having found the devastation of Ishbal the brothers are told the true story of what happened there before the story comes full circle as they rejoin the military as they prepare to attack the town of Liore where the brothers exposed a false priest in the first episode. In episode forty we finally ... Read More:

Meet sorceress Lina Inverse -- she's short, flat-chested, brash, loud, eats like a barbarian, ridiculously powerful, and has a temper as hot as her fireballs.

She's also the lovable anti-heroine of "Slayers - The Complete First Season," a thoroughly hilarious and warped little classic anime. The first season blends fantasy spoofs and a solid little story about good vs. evil (or justice vs. evil, depending on who you ask), when our heroes aren't dressing in drag or mugging bandit gangs.

Recently Lina robbed the bandit gang known as the Dragon Fangs of several valuable items, and when the gang's few surviving members attack her, she's rescued by a handsome but dumb swordsman, Gourry Gabriev. But the bandits aren't the only ones after her ... Read More:

The 3rd series is my most favourite although the other two are still superb. This series felt even more wacky and random (in a good way!).

Gotta love Gir!

I recently wrote a review for the Ralph Ellison novel `Invisible Man' and started it by saying that I was unsure of what to write. Well, it's the same with Neon Genesis Evangelion. What can I say that hasn't already been said about this masterpiece of a show? Frankly, I don't think there is anything new to say, so, basically what I'll do is just repeat it all but change the phrasing. That should work.

It's an anime about mecha and the young teenagers that have to use them to save the world from these `aliens' (I think, but have no idea because it is all far too complicated) who have been dubbed Angels. They have to deal with the psychological stresses of such a confounding responsibility, as well as the everyday interactions and social expectations that afflict ... Read More:
