well i assume from your reading this review that you have some basic knowlege of anime, or at least enough to know that akira, ghost in the shell, and ninja scroll are three of the greatest anime movies ever made. This means that there is little that could actually go wrong with buying this boxset, but it is also the supreme way in which to own them. I thought Id just be getting three vanilla discs with the basic film and no special features, instead you get akira's ultimate edition in one box, ninja scroll's tenth anniversary edition in one box and at least the making off on the ghost in the shell. I'm pretty sure that buying this boxset is also cheaper than buying all the films seperately and you will certainly not get the unweildy packaging ... Read More:

DVD : Dominion Tank Police - Acts 1 And 2
This was the first anime I ever saw, back on VHS. It should be seen together with Acts III & IV for full impact, although the first two acts are hilarious on their own; the last two will make you think about what constitutes a person....

Just don't have your mouth full when Buaku deploys his secret anti-tank weapons against the Tank Police unless you want to spray the TV....

Oh yes this ones a good 'un.

Episode thirty three of Fullmetal Alchemist begins with Al kidnapped by a gang of Chimera led by the Homunculus Greed. Both Ed and Izumi track the kidnappers to a seedy bar but treachery from within the gang causes chaos allowing Greed to escape with Al. In episode thirty four, Greed is hunted by both the military and his fellow Homunculi, and so flees with Al into the forest and lets his captive go. Greed then goes to the mansion of his creator, Dante, but while there encounters a vengeful Ed and in the fight that follows Greed divulges the secret of the Homunculi's only weakness. Episode thirty five has little of the Elric brothers in it, instead it concentrates on the Homunculus Lust who starts to have doubts when someone from her past renters ... Read More:

As a long-time otaku I tend to deliberately avoid 'hyped' series, with the reasoning that I 'don't want to like it just because its being shoved down my throat by everyone else in all of fandom.' This reasoning is occasionally justifiable-I found I could probably live without Naruto quite comfortably, however every now and then this philosophy of mine comes back to bite me in the rear end. One instance of this was Death Note, which I ignored to my detriment for a year. The second is the utterly astounding Haruhi Suzumiya, and let me tell you now...IT LIVES UP TO THE HYPE. Its very hard to pin down just what exactly makes this show so special, but you simply can't watch it without feeling like you've been smacked in the face by one of the greatest anime ... Read More:

How anyone can slag this film off is beyond me as for its time (1985) this had some of the sweetest graphics and even by todays standards, although lacking, the anime graphics are still kinda kool.... its a classic .... get over it.

Although the story line is kinda what you would expect, the film is kinda fast paced with some good scenes and alot of new ideas (for 1985) ... its well worth a look and def anime fans will appreciate its true value ... i think perhaps if they brought out one of those digitaly re masterd versions it would get the respect it deserves even in a modern market it would trample the competition.

A gorgeous looking anime that follows Kurosawa's movie surprisingly closely. Whilst it does lose its way towards the end - its only because the first few dvd's of the set are so brilliant. Enjoyable and strongly recommended.

First things first; this reviewer NEVER laughs at 'funny' shows. Even popular ones like scrubs and family guy only ever bring smiles to my face, but never make me laugh out loud. I mean I enjoy them, but they never make me laugh. It was to my suprise then, that show managed to do so not once, but several times.

In essence school rumble is about a group of students who are all caught in one massive love web (a triangle would be too simplistic). Things start off slow in volume 1, introducing the main characters: Harima, a thug and delinquent who drives around town (and even into the school!) on a chopper, fights gangsters and is a general all round bad dude. He is in love with Tenma, a cute but fairly dim-witted if not funny highschool girl, who is in turn in love ... Read More:
